Here are some pics I took from Importfest '09....I think my camera settings were wrong because almost all of the pics came out grainy ...My Maxima took 2nd place for the Maxima class wooooo...

Thanks! The maxima that won 1st was an '04 with airbags, 20" chromes, full gator skin interior, and 7 LCDs (at least)...not sure if hes on the .org but if he is maybe he'll post his pics....

It is quite obvious that there would have been more maximas at Imporfest if the organizers let every person with a "lip kit and wheels" into the show. There are very strict entry requirements as anyone who has either entered the show or been to the show can attest to.
While you are trying to poke fun at the fact that there were "only 4 cars" why dont you stop and realize it does not matter how many maximas there were. Even if there were 10 maximas in the show, there are only 3 top spots....so I dont see where you are trying to go? If 10 maximas were there, or even 200 maximas...wouldnt the TOP 3 maximas still win the TOP 3 spots?
Importfest is one of the most recognized and respected shows in all of Canada...in terms of quality of the vehicles and the entertainment I believe it would be the equivalent of a NOPI or a HIN. If you are trying to attack the credibility of the show in classing cars perhaps you should do so after you attend...or maybe after you have a ride that is a) allowed to enter and b) wins a trophy in said class.

Nice pics. Some very nice cars showed up to the event. As far as the pic. with the 3 girls with there butts towards the camera, you know they always say the camera adds 10 pounds. Or maybe 20.
man the pic with the 3 girls turned around, they look boring lol dam turn around and smile or somethin. they're fine though lol lookin too serious. nice max btw. i like the M45 Fuga conversion

Nice pics and congrats. However I wouldn't say IF is one of the most respected car shows in Canada and not even close to NOPI or HIN (and I've been to both). Even better are the Cayuga shows etc. Nothing against you but Importfest in Canada amongst actual Car Enthusiasts is considered the "Buy a body kit, system, paint your engine chrome and never drive you car show with underage girls". Personally I don't like Importfest because I don't agree with those guys who dump thousands on their motor and have never taken it to the track to show what it can do. I have respect for those who dedicate the time in their cars, have stone chips and wear. But to each their own, everyone has different tastes. BTW I saw your car once Downtown (last year) and found it funny when you revved at me going the opposite direction. To be honest, thats the exact reason why people bash these types of shows and I hope you don't go around doing that with all the extra weight and almost stock motor.

Bro I think thats just your personal opinion...I've been to HIN in Tampa FL and Charlotte NC and I would rate IF up there with those shows. Granted I havent been to every single HIN event on the calendar IMHO I would say its that same (although HIN had better girls lol).

I agree everyone has their own tastes...I believe IF targets a different demographic than the shows at Cayuga. If you notice IF is promoting entertainment, cars, and nightlife...and not drag racing or auto-x.
You are making a lot of assumptions in what you are saying too, I drive my car everyday and I personally know other people at the show who do also. I'm certain that not ALL of the models at IF are underage. It seems as though you are just stereotyping the people who enter their rides in IF...stereotyping as a model of practice is generally frowned upon by people ever where as it is a sign of ignorance.
What makes you an "actual car enthusiast" and not me? You make unsubstantiated blanket statements which dont make any sense. Just because I'm not into engine modding and am more into aesthetic, A/V, and audio mods that DOES NOT preclude me to NOT being a car enthusiast. I find the fact that you think that YOU get to decide who the REAL car enthusiasts in Canada are actually quite funny...are you God or something?

From what I recall you are at least entering your late 20s and also hold a CA designation...I think you need to start maturing a bit and stop 1) blatantly lying like a "child in a sandbox" about what other people are doing on the road 2) stereotyping people / groups of people because of their tastes and interests are different to yours and 3) just plain picking fights with me...(I have nothing against you I dont know what it is YOU have against me personally, but this thread was to show pictures of CARS at a CAR SHOW and the fact that you are using it blatantly lie about me is simply juvenile)

Maybe the "reving" was a misunderstanding but why are you bashing every statement I made? You clearly said we have a freedom of speech and guess what? I just used that freedom in my post so accept it. I have utmost respect that you won and again congrats, not my cup of tea. No where did I say anything about me beating you nor did I carry on with an ego? Please identify where you are getting these facts from. My main thing is about Importfest being so highly recognized and to be honest, it is far from being that high in the recognition charts. By default IF is this way because of other's leaving the industry. IF was nothing before when they had competition.
In my and I stress MY definition a car enthusiast is an all round aspect, from motor to audio etc. Nor did I bash you for not building a motor, but most of the cars there (olden Civics, Tegs etc) do all this crap to their motors to only show it and thats where I lose my appreciation. Again freedom of speech, I say what's on my mind. You are talking like I targeted you or something, if you are insecure or something no need to take it out here, please show where I targeted you or said I have an issue with you, I don't even know who the hell you are other then seeing your car around! lol.
