Don't know yet, installed them earlier this afternoon and it isn't dark yet. I'll let you know tonight. I assume you mean the fogs. The headlights light up the road like no other, I already know that

Closer shots of what, naijai? Let me know what, and I can take more pictures.

CE was out of them, these are ebay specials.

Pat, looks very good. How about some closeups with the fogs on, fogs off etc. Indivitual side shots so we can see the mounting/ installation etc.

Like Parag said, they are off eBay. Less than $22 shipped

Yup, just took out the bulb. I think it looks tacky with all this nice lighting and dim little sidemarkers.

I'll be sure to get some shots of that as well. Mine are rewired, but my clearance lights have to be on to have them on. Hope that isn't an inconvenience to you

Oh, and to Nissan 6, about the light output: it's not too bad. Roughly the same as stock in terms of brightness (but then again, it's rated at the same 55w). In terms of beam pattern, though, it lights up farther ahead of you (compared to the measly 4 or 5 ft. in front of the car stock) and lights up a good bit wider. The beam pattern is overall excellent for $20 ebay lights. I think they would benefit greatly from some 3000k 85w bulbs and a better power source.

The link to my exact auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

Basically, just look for the seller texassizedeals . Looking back at the auction, the pictures on the auction are so terrible. The lights look gray-ish in that picture and plastic-ey, but they are flat black and metal in real life.

Thanks! What kind of lighting are you running in the projectors in your headlights? Looks like HID to me, but you don't have it listed.

Yup, very cheap and they got to me really fast. Best part is, once I took out my stock fogs and the brackets that hold them, my buddy looked in and saw that where I wanted to mount them was right overtop of a hole that already existed for the old bracket, so I didn't even have to drill anything

$20 eh? i hope the lenses don't get cracked from road debris. Did you think about retro'ing those fogs into some OEM fog housings?

Are you on HIDPlanet by chance?

The lenses are made from a real thick plastic-like material. I say plastic-like because it just doesn't seem like plastic, looks/feels more like glass but I know it isn't glass either. I wouldn't retro them because for one, I'm not that talented...but above all else my stock housings aren't in that great of condition (one is cracked, actually).

Yeah, I'm on HIDPlanet. I don't post much, though...mostly in the for sale section. Same name as on here.

Next step should be to build a stock colored grill/bracket to go around the light so it looks stock.

Did you splice into the stock wiring?

That's tonight's project since I'm not working. Time for another trip to Lowes Not sure if I want to do mesh or a solid plastic or bars or what. Guess I'll have to expirement. Either way, I took a can of flat black paint and spray-painted some of the frame that shows in the fog hole since it was body color and stuck out like a sore thumb.

Basically all I did was cut the stock wiring plugs off, and then the way the wiring was on the fogs made it very simple. The positive had a little hole thing (kind of like a crimp connector almost) that I just stuck the wiring into and crimped and then the ground had the "loop" connector you're supposed to bolt to something that I just wrapped the ground wire through a couple times. Taped it all up and that was it. I may buy some wire loom to cover everything up, though, the wires look far too exposed

Ya cover the wires. I would definately paint something either black or body color and it would look great.

I don't think I'll go with anything body color. Not that I have a choice, I don't have that kind of paint anyway. The point is, though, I like the darker look of the fogs the way they are now.

It started with AE headlights, then I got the black corners to match, and the stock fogs were one hinderance to keeping the theme going. So now that I have a chance to darken that up a bit I'll take it. Still need to AE my corners, too bad I'll have to wait and have someone else do it because I'm too afraid to open up my corners myself after a bad experience

You know, you should get the mesh, then put a screen like they put over grass to stop the weeds from growing right over that, that would give a nice look and you could get it the right shape.

Good idea in terms of practicality, but I think that grass-stopping screen might look a little tacky. You're right though, it would be easy to shape. That's my main problem, getting something I can shape and cut easily. I have to cut a fairly large hole so I don't impede output because the fogs are mounted back in a good ways, and it also has to bend a good bit because the opening isn't flat...it's also at an angle.

Keep in mind these are $20 ebay lights They don't have a true cutoff, but above a certain point they don't have any glare or anything really (much like halogen headlights). They do, however, do a half-decent job of lighting. They just need to be brighter, and that remedy will come fairly soon in the form of 100w 3000k bulbs.

BAHAHAHA, my projector fogs are better too bad one lens is already cracked.

I think you should get some CF for the mold.....hehehe.

Actually that would be stupid. Unless you painted it.... well it would still be sort of stupid.
