no need to spend a bunch of money on a paint job, it looks good. a clay bar and a wax job will bring it back to life. rims are ok, you can resell those, but a front lip would look realllly nice.

4 lug is stock on this car...i agree with the paint, its way better than mine is....if you just got it and your not sure of the matience.... GET THE TIMING BELT REPLACED

should be replaced every 60,000 miles....mine hadnt been replaced and there was 155,000 miles on the car when it snapped a week before my appointment to get it changed, we thought i had been changed atleast once, we thought very wrong....$2000 later, i am into the car too much so no sence in getting rid of it....but its getting better as time goes on

Thanks for all the comments. I wanted painted because its rusting and there is a lot of scatches and chips you cant really see. I am planning on putting a body kit on it eventually when I get money. I was hoping on putting some slipstream rota rims. Its my first car and its the best. It might not be as fast as a mazada mx 6 but speed isnt everthing. I dont think I have replaced the timing belt. When I first got it out of the junk yard I let the mechanics fix it up then I took over fixing everything on it. It has 205,000 miles on it. I might replace it anyways just in case. ITs not diffuclt to replace the timing belt?

Looks pretty good to be so old. Just wax it up a little and you'll be straight.

Gotta agree. Keep it clean and perform regular maintenance, but investing in new wheels, paint job, body kit parts, etc. in a car that's total value is under those kind of upgrades is a waste of money. You are 20, you've got time to save up and get something better if you're patient. In the mean time enjoy your max and take care of it. I drove a 85 Accord POS for years while I saved my money and then I bought a brand new Altima. Then I saved a few more years and bought an Infiniti I30. If you're a working man like me just gotta save and spend your money wisely.

Congrats on your first car! It looks pretty nice. I think 2nd gen Maximas look awesome when they're modded. I wouldn't mind getting one at some point in the future to modify. It looks great in blue.

I am near Jeffersonville,IN so like near the river thats what part of Louiville I am from. I now I need to save my money and buy a better car. Its already going to be lowered and a body kit would look nice on it. I need only a paint job because theres rust on the drivers side door and underneath the drivers side door. Paint chips along the trunk side. Scratches all over the car. The trunk lid isnt even the same color of the car. Thats the man reason I want to paint it. Make it look better than it is. I am going with some team dynamics mirage rims 15". I know there out of business but I can still get them for around $600. Kinda expensive but I need new rims because the star ones are bent like its unbalanced. Yeah unreparable. Body kit I really dont need and since i am lowering it the body kit may scrape the ground and chip the new paint on it anyways. So I am doing this all for a reason not because I am foolishing spending money. The rims I got free from a junk yard and same goes for those side skirts. I do take care of her I do regular matinece checks on it. It has a K and N filter in it Iridium spark plugs premium spark plug wires. Those are really the only performance stuff I have done. Other than that its stock with new stock parts. I have rebuilt the automatic tranny in it, I put a new head on it, it also has a new front pipe and itermidiate pipe and a new catiliyitic convertor on it. From the cat its a bigger pipe with one of those loud mufflers on it thats sounds pretty nice not like those fart mufflers like its a deep sound pretty cool. Now you know why I am so attached to this car I put so much work into it. Right now its in my school shop right now where I am working on puting on new springs and shocks and sturts. Yeah I would like a newer car maybe even a faster one but I am happy with what I got and I am restoring it as much as I can. Next project rebuiling the engine, now thats going to be fun.
