Nice. I'll have to give that a try next time I come across one. Thanks for the idea mate. Cheers.

Haha. It doesn't mean much in my opinion. Lol. To me, I don't think any filter is a lifetime filter.

In any case, I think the filter could be cleaned using B12 or a similar solution that could break down all the dirt, too. Hell, I think you could probably even use bleach, as long as you don't leave it in there too long and flush it with something like B12 afterwards. Did you just use the CRC Electrical Contact Cleaner or something else?

It's just as easy to replace the fuel filter as it would be to clean it out. You've got to pull it out anyways, so I don't see the point in going through the trouble of cleaning it, rather than replacing it when a new filter is only $14. Unless money's just THAT tight. Thanks for the tip anyways.

I am following up on a post you have regarding replacing the head unit. I have a 2001 I30. I would like to keep the speakers and only replace the head unit. The unit I have decided on is a Clarion FZ502. What would be the best way to go?

Yeah, I joined the forums when I bought the car, but then I moved into the mountains near Ft. Collins and lost convenient access to the internet. Well that and my car's turning into a bit of a beater. Not planing on driving to the springs for the CONOC meet but I will be at the Concours d'elegance at Arapahoe Community College tomorrow.

A Mt Evans run would be a good shakedown run for the z. Pavement is good in places crap in others. Where do you guys usually go?

Hey saw your visitor message. I'd love to join you and Nick for a cruise sometime. Working a lot right now and trying to find a second job... I'm helping a friend finish a build on an old school 87 300zx turbo right now. When we're finished (~second week of June) I'll have a good excuse to go blow a bunch of money on gas. I'll let you guys know.
