I heard u are very very good at this. have a 98 maxima with the auto climate control. when i turn the temp down to the lowest setting (18c or 64.5F) the ac dosent work just air. but immediately i raise the temp by half a degree, very hot air comes out of the vents, it dosent matter if the ac is on or not. just hot air. just hot air from 65 all the way to the highest. no inbetween cool or hot. what do u think the problem it is?? thank you very much. i tried searching on the forum but cant get any response

    Hi Daniel,

I'm trying to locate the external connecor of the TCC solenoid valve. Is this connector mounted below the airduct? There are 3 connectors placed on a bracket down there between the strut tower and transaxle. From a description I saw you give earlier I assume it's the big brown connector placed in the middle of this bracket?
I tried removing this connector yesterday but it was locked shut and covered in grease. If this is the right connector then I'll remove the airduct tomorrow to get a better grip.
After my engine is completely warmed up the rpm jumps around while idling. Id I shift into neutral the problem goes away. Ive checked all the coils, injectors, TB, IACV, TPS... and they're all working properly.
Wiggling this connector yesterday made the problem worst today. While idling the car stalled for the very first time. I'm now sure that the TCC isn't locking up beacuse of this dirty connector.

    Thanks,

    John

Hi, I've read alot of your posts regarding transmissions and clutches and I am hoping maybe you can give me some help. I've just got a 2003 maxima with the MT. My biggest problem acts like this... When I shift into any gear (from standing still) then proceed to let off the clutch without giving it gas, the car doesn't stall. I mean every gear, 1st - 6th. The RPM drops just a bit but the car will not stall. When I TRY to actually drive the car, it goes so slow that I can literally push the car faster than the car can be driven and also if I was to stand in front of it, while my wife was driving it for example, I could stop the car despite it's attempt to move forward and I'm no Hulk. Accelerating doesn't hardly add any power to the wheels. Any idea what this could be? A really badly screwed clutch maybe? BTW the car was in an accident before and the wheel was hit and strut, and tie rod were bent, replaced those and I may replace the drivers side drive shaft also once I get the transmission issue fixed if it is noticeable.
