If you haven't purchased your 20" wheels don't worry about spacers for that set. Just buy the right width and offset when the time comes it's always infinitely preferable to get the right size. I think you can safely go up to 9.5" width on a lower offset with just a fender roll, maybe up to a 10" on each corner.

For the 17's, decide which brand/model tires you're going to use first. Since tire manufacturers size their tires slightly different, a 225/50 could be the exact same size as a 235/45. For example, my Falken 912s at 215/50 run large so they look like a 225/50, even a 235/50 depending on brand. Once you figure that out, then measure for spacers. If you're also going to be going back and forth with the other wheels, maybe buy the bolt-on spacers where you don't need to swap out for extended lugs.

I didn't know that the spacers come in that size. OK sounds good, yeah that's a better idea. Could you explain what you mean? Are you saying that two 10mm will put more stress on the hub and its a better route for me just to get 20mm spacers?

Just to give you some background information. I currently will be redoing my 2002 maxima 17 inch rims. I would have just preferred to get wider tires like 235/ or 245 but it is recommended to just use 225/50/R17 with these rims since they are relative skinny in thickness. Since I will be pulling and rolling my fenders, I would like my stance to be more broad hence why I am looking to use the 20mm thickness from the spacers. Also, down the line when I am able to raise some funds, I plan to get 20 inch rims that are 8.5 in thickness and I will use 245/40/R20 tires. Originally I was thinking that I should get a bunch of 10mm spacers because I would have just used one 10mm spacer with the 20s and 2 10mm spacers per rim with the 17s.

yes, that's correct. So total I would need 8 10mm spacers.

Thanks. OK cool. I would have gone coilovers too but the funds aren't there so I ill just do lowering springs for the time.

I asked about spacers because I would like to use two 10mm spacers per rim, do you know what length studs I would need to get?

Hey, you did a really awesome job with you max! Are you familiar with using spacers? And also, are you on coilovers or just lowered springs?

Hello Bonka, I was reading a thread about someone wondering why the front of their car was so high and part of your reply was about cutting the bump stops.

I just dropped my maxima a couple months ago on ksports and along with the front being a bit higher than the rear, I noticed that the front is also a lot stiffer than the rear.

Could this be a result of my shock resting on the bump stop and will trimming it lower my car a bit more?
