    PlastiDip my grille.

ah your going to love this.. it is as easy as eating apple pie. no prep, the spray is called plasti-dip. use ONLY the brand name "PlastiDip" anything other will damage your grille because it may not have the same properties as plastidip. you must get the spray plastidip. what you do is you need to remove the grille. (very easy) open the hood and notice there are black circles with smaller circles in the middle of them. press the smaller circle until you hear or feel a click. it doesn't take much to click them. don't press them too hard or the smaller circle will fall could be lost forever. lol

once those are off, pull the grill and look at the back side, there are 4 clips. just stick you hand in there and push them out of the housing. it fits in there like the clips on your backpack. thats it. just weasel it out.

it took me 2 minutes to figure out and remove my grille. its seriously really easy. surprisingly easy.

    Here is spray paint/plastidip 101
take your can, shake it for 1 minute before spraying. its important to also shake the can in between sprays. you want it to be completely mixed for the best luster. before making your initial spray on your grille, you mush spray into the air. think of it like clearing the spray cans throat. sometimes paint beads over the opening and hardens slightly and when you spray it spits that hardened paint and leave an irreversible glob. like hawking a leugy on your project. also when the can gets tipped over air can get into the straw inside the can and you'll get nasty spitup. also never point at your project before you spray, even after clearing the can it is recommended to start spraying off your project. most times this is possible. sometimes it isn't without getting overspray on everything. a tip is to rotate the can, spray, and rotate it back on the object and then continue the sweep.

so in short, before you hit your project, just give a couple sprits in the air.

now for plastidip, its fool proof. if you don't like it or mess up it peels right off. hold the can a foot away and give even layers. you want to make an even first coat where all parts are covered unlike spray paint. sweep across until you have a nice black layer. do not spray too much or you will get pooling. i would highly suggest hitting a piece of cardboard so you know how much to spray before it pools. remember to hold that cardboard at an angle because your grille has parts at angle. give at least 20 min between coats. and make sure you do at least 2. 3 is recommended. the thinner plastidip is the harder it is to peel.

the plastidip will go on really rough looking, especially on the second and third coat. but don't worry as it drys it should even out for a smoother look.

if you mess up wait 30-40 min and peel off. if you mess up on your first coat, go ahead a practice on the grille 2 more times and then peel. like i said before, trying to peel one coat of plastidip may not work very well. especially with all those crevices. i did mine right the first time so i can't tell you how difficult it is to peel plastidip on your grille.

do this in a wind free environment. if you don't have one then do it in your bathtub. just take a large plastic bag and use it as a drop sheet. don't worry about over spray. as long as it doesn't get on fabric it WILL rub right off. i get over spray on all kinds of stuff because i know i can just wipe it right off easier then it is to 100% prep everything.

i hope this helps let me know if you have any questions.

sweet, well first off i wanna tell you to make sure you get to electric cutout because you will not want to get under your car and take it on and off. its very low and you probably wont be able to reach it without a jack. these are the parts i bought.

delete the giant muffler/resonator (you need to do this or the cutout wont sound good) don't worry about it making your car loud with your cutout closed, it wont. mine is still as quiet as it was when i first bought it stock.

place the cutout where the resonator was, and weld 3" piping from the opening, run it along the stock pipe and go up with the stock pipe over that little bar and instal your electric valve there. it will have plenty of room and will be tucked up in that space and protected even if you bottom out.

i placed the switch next to my steering wheel heater switch. i am in the process of moving my cutout back like i said above. ill take pictures and give a better tutorial when i can.
