I went to my friends junkyard Monday and he didn't have the cover I guess someone bought it while he wasn't there cause he was holding it aside for me but Thursday he has like 2 maximas coming in buddy so ill keep you posted ok ill get rid of it like $20 bucks

I think you should. Don't get me wrong, the 5.5 setup is nice, but I got turned off by price (for a good set) and complex nature of the setup. And you're right...we gotta rep the 00-01's lol.

ps: some guys also retrofitted the ebay projectors with much success.

the projectors are actually 00-01 OEM retrofitted w/ projectors. You can try: http://www.theretrofitsource.com (parts) I got the work done at http://www.hidillusionz.com. (NYC) The guy finished my lights and sent them back to me in less than 5 days. While it may be as expensive as 5.5 oems, the setup isn't as complicated. I'm using a plug-n-play HID kit (nothing is spliced at all)

yep, practice makes perfect,i do the same thing. painting is so fun u mess it up and all u gotta do is sand it down and try again!

thanks for the pic comment! they came out really good my father painted them after i prepped them, we used a spray gun. i try to avoid using rattle cans as much as possible it puts way too much paint down and always runs. i still need to do the seat belt clips,headliner and all the trim pieces

i did the same thing feldman did in his "usb how to" thread. i took the little half circle shaped coin holder thats next to the pass seat and cut the bottom out and put a usb charger in it using an usb extention cable, 12v usb charger and an 12v socket. id post the the thread link but my comp is being lame. ill post a pic in my profile of the finished product

no the ones on the car now are 2006 18"s. yes theyre painted black with red stripes. i have to order new striped though cause i kind of bought them to big and they are peeling. ill take pix soon when i clean the car man but its a good idea attracts alot of attention
