    i was replying to your thread and then realized it was deleted? Anyway, here was my response:

    the blues dont necessarily have a shorter life style than illuminas. Theyre performance struts for a reason. I wouldnt be concerned about the longevity of the blues with stech springs. Trust me.

    I do however prefer the illuminas b/c of adjustability but dont be under the false impression that they will last longer than the blues. Theyre about the same. The only differ in respect to dampening adjustments.

    I avoid the really big bumps and potholes but I have never had a cracked lip. My lip is actually in great condition considering im in NYC. I wouldnt worry about your stech drop with a front lip.
