I've done the spin test..it's quiet...not to mention..the dizzy in your vg is the dizzy from my vg..the car made the same noise with that dizzy.. -
actually, i'm pretty sure it's mah timing belt tensioner causing the dizzy noise...i'm just baiting chris for a visit..
