Hello...Given all the hype around Amsoil Motor Oil I was wondering how much it would cost shipped to zip code 08520. I'm assuming for an 07 Maxima SL I need 5w-30.

    Thanks

    talkinghorse:

I live in a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia and just had my transmission rebuilt and clutch replaced on my 95 Maxima - the dreaded differential bearing leak problem. I had been using regular 75w90 GL4 gear oil. The owner's manual has no recommended change interval for gear oil but the Haynes manual specifies 30,000 miles. The shop put in GL4 75w90 Castrol synthetic gear oil. Can I expect a longer change interval from this product and if so, what would you think is reasonable. The car is driven about 50% city/50% highway currently. Previously it was about 80% highway.

    Thank you

Could I get a price on 2 quarts severe gear 75w-90 (svgqt-ea) and 4 quarts Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4, and the AMSOIL Hand Pump For Bottles (G2039) if you can get it. I am going to be changing out the manual transmission fluid (4qts) and rear differential (2 qts) for a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe. Does this sound right? Shipping to 76548. Thanks!

    Kamil,

My total cost comes to $37.89, including NY sales tax and shipping. This is a discount of $8.15 compared to retail. i would have your filter shipped directly to you from the AMSOIL Product Center in Lancaster PA. Service is excellent..most orders are shipped UPS the same day I place the order, and delivery time to NYC would be within a day or two a the most. My paypal address is eandersonjr@satx.rr.com . I am confident you will be very impressed with the quality and performance of this filter. Please let me know if you have any other questions. thx, ed

Thanks for contacting me...glad to help. The best ATF for your car would be AMSOIL synthetic ATF, and it meets Nissan specifications (Nissan-matic K) for your transmission. The amount you will need depends on the method you use to change it. If you do a total system flush, my application guide shows a total capacity on your transmission as being just under 8 quarts. However, if you do a simple drain and refill, my experience with the 4th and early 5th gen cars has been that you could use up to 5.5 quarts...but those transmissions hold close to 10 quarts. Concerning the price, I can save you about 25% on the oil. My cost is $8.00/qt ($10.60 retail) plus your applicable sales tax and shippping. I have all products shipped from the AMSOIL Product Center nearest you, so it essentially cuts shipping costs in half, assures you of the freshest products, and minimizes transit time. In order for me to calculate a total cost, please confirm the amount of fluid you want to buy and please let me know either your state of residence or zip code...i need that in order to determine the correct tax rate. I look forward to hearing from you. thx, ed
