    Hi man,

I have not changed the suspension height since that post...which was almost 8 years ago! The springs are all rusty now and have settled quite a bit, I'm sure (they were no-name springs; have a pair of Eibachs I never got around to installing).

Congrats on the D2s. I'd suggest a mild drop of 1.5"-1.8" inches. Much more and you have so many problems, from scraping everything around town to extra wear on the ball joints and other parts. The Stillen lip was destroyed a couple of winters ago when I was in Salt Lake City; that place has horrible deep gutters at lots of intersections (like a gutter that crosses the street for storm water). I hit one going too fast off a main road and that was it. My own fault, but I was surprised it shattered. Polyurethane is supposed to be flexible, but I guess not in cold temps.

I will try to remember to measure my drop for you. Unfortunately I park on a hill so it might be off a little.

    Tom

    Hi VQuick,

Long time no hear. Sorry to hear that about your Stillen lip...do you think that happened because you were too low? How have things been on your end otherwise?

I finally saved up and got me some d2 coilovers!! Do you have any suggestions when it comes to ride height? I saw your post #141 at

    https://maxima.org/forums/5th-genera...benefit-4.html

but could you tell me if you made any changes since? Also, what is the distance from the ground to the middle of your front fender and what about in the rear to the bumper? Thanks.

    Hey M3,

No, I haven't had the time. Working long hours this year so I'm just trying to maintain the car. Recently destroyed my Stillen lip which I'm not happy about. I'm not sure if I'm going to do anything more with the fog.

    Happy New Year.

Any updates with trying to open your fogs?
