I didn't smoke them. The led tails are a dark ruby red.

This thread has all you need to do a self install http://www.6thgenmaxima.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4440 There are other links within that thread and videos. Haven't done it but be carful. The headlights scratch easily so put a towel under or wrap it while removing and installing the lense to the case. Make sure you seal it back right and the holes drilled for the two halo rings. Any moisture will cause a foggy headlight or even short your lights. One headlight brand new is $1k. So proceed with caution.
