Where is Maxus going to be next.

I am just wondering who will step up and bring Maxus into their town next year. And no it won't be in Chicago again. You guys better start getting ideas for locations.

Then Florida should make the trek up here.
There's more Max's up this way (DC, PA, NYC, NJ, VA, MD) then there are arguably anywhere else man.

Now if you (guys in the south) are willing to plan it then please tell your organizer to step up to the plate. But we had 200 people and over 90 cars show up to a meet with NASTY WEATHER and it was a blast. No question we could double that, not to mention we got a barrage of people willing to help. So what i'm going to do is continue planning Maxus to be in the DCMAX until someone tells me otherwise, or someone else steps up and says that they are going to plan it to be in their region.

Should that happen then by all means i'll turn it over, but I think we've more then proven we can pull the numbers and organize a structured, fun event.

Not doubting that ya'll have more numbers but was just pointing out there is a nice number in the south. DC, isn't too far for southerners so it shouldn't be a bad location if it is DC.

i just have one thing to say. thats great that DC area can get a huge meet going and what not, and that you guys have one of the largest maxima communities out there.

but where the **** were all of you during the past 2 maxus'? how come out of ALLLLLL of those maximas out on the east coast... only a couple to a handful showed up? you guys are all proud to have one of the largest communities, and yet... dont even represent yourselves at the past TWO annual maxus'. so good for you for having one of the largest communities, but if you cant even represent yourselves, what good is that?

what ever, have fun planning it, hope it turns out well.. hell, i might even make it, who knows?

What?

Okay, When did anyone come and reach out to us??? How many of the DC max Moderators, or leaders were contacted about bringing their people out???
The reason why we got so many people for the NWP meet is because WE REACHED OUT TO PEOPLE!!!! There were incentives for people to drive all that way. People had the opportunity to win products (expensive ones at that) awards, meet others from different regions, and be pretty much guaranteed a good time. Aaron staked his reputation on it.

I'm not making an attempt to attack you, but you need to understand that we are trying to build and maintain this community here and we hope to do something very unique and set a standard at '09 Maxus. Should you not want to be apart of that then it will be your loss but I hope you re-consider and take note of everything that will be done in this upcoming Maxus.

I drove 14 hours nonstop each way to Maxus 08 from Raleigh NC. I won the longest-travel award. So it's certainly not unheard of for that.... I was the furthest attendant tho I think. But DC to Chicago is more or less the same distance from my city to Chicago.

Should you not want to be apart of that then it will be your loss but I hope you re-consider and take note of everything that will be done in this upcoming Maxus.
it was posted at the top of the forums for a while before it happened. it was posted in here.
people had it in their sigs, on their avatars too.
Don't BS that it wasn't promoted, it was.

i was out of the country for maxus 08, but when i was working on maxus 07, we were posting in every single regional forum on the .org to try and get peoples attentions, and of course, these is this maxus forum that is up YEAR ROUND... so dont give me this petty bs about us not reaching out, its not our fault that the members were too lazy to drive out(minus a few) i mean even when we were trying to decide on where to have it, there were PLENTY of east coast members in these forums saying EAST COAST EAST COAST, and then when it was decided on chicago, low and behold, they stopped coming into these forums.. cuz it was too far... This is the main reason why chicago doesnt want to deal with another maxus, we tried, we had great prizes, sponsors, and had the 09 maxima brought to our car show by a nissan rep from corporate... but barely anyone showed... so we will not bother with it again..

CapedCadaver sorry, i didnt meant to say all east coast guys, i know some of you guys made it out, and it was great! its just the rest of the east coast members that bug me.. east coast has the LARGEST maxima community in the states, and we get what.. 2-3 ppl show up from the east coast? thats pretty sad if you ask me...
