Maxus 2008 Chicago June 19th - 22nd
With the unfortunant event in regards to getting the Autobahn, I am editing the first post to keep you guys informed of whats going on. So far here is the pending schedule for this years Maxus in Chicago. I know I am late keeping you guys updated on this years Maxus, but trying to juggle, work, Maxus, working on the 240, and looking for a new job, is making it harder schedule myself on these priorities.
June 20th - Meet and Greet at the Hotel
June 21st - AutoX in a parking lot unfortunantly or install day
June 22nd - BBQ and carshow in Busse Woods

Also, for everyone's information, I have seen posts for track time at the Autobahn. The costs have been $250 to $280 to run the track, so $200, while not dirt cheap is clearly a bargain for this facility.

$200 is a good deal for a track like this. I can hopefully make it.

ALL cars are welcome to come to the track as long as they can pass tech.
so tell anyone who is willing to come to do so. The more people we have for the track the less we have to worry about paying in the long run.

I am on the fence for Thur, Fri, and Sat. I am definite for Sunday. It all depends on work. With Hot Rod Power Tour in Madison the week prior to Maxus, I can't take too much time off.

Would anybody be interested in being part of a 'detail workshop' on Saturday? Not for full details of anyone's car, but rather to learn tips and tricks about exterior/interior detailing.
(cough, cough...Hector?....cough)
I can bring a bunch of stuff (products, polishers, pads etc.) Maybe there would be an area that can be used along side the 'install day' stuff?

hmmmmmmmmmmmm I could talk something out with my work.
Woodfield HUMMER/Chevrolet has a detail shop, so maybe I can work out some sort of deal with them for just the facility?

That would be a great idea.....would your dealership mind a bunch of 'imports' invading their lot?

I was just thinking of that...
Not sure if they'd be willing to do it for "free," and considering the liability bull****.
It'd either be at Chevrolet after 1 in the technicians area...(liability for damaged customer cars/stolen items)...you could get at least 6-10 cars in there depending on how many stalls are already taken, and there is room for another couple cars in the open. ONE wash area
Hummer would probably be the same time, or later. Right now they are in the process of building a body shop where the detail shop used to be at Hummer, and the little area that was used for painting will be converted into a detail shop...approximately enough room for 4 cars MAX <--- "MAX"...
...BUT, Saturday's=busiest day of the week for car dealerships, so once again, I'm not sure how that would work out, or if it even would.
