caravan leaving easton PA later today!

ok, so it's just me returning from a wedding in NY (f- EVER going into that POS town again)

well I made it here already.
straight shot down 80, steady cruise control at 70
no problems, saw several cops and none flinched when I went past.

You can easily do 75 on I-80, faster if you're vigilant. Ohio troopers are the worst in my experience, be careful in that state.

The difference between 70 and 75 is negligible, whether you're talking time saved or gas saved. But sometimes every minute counts, and sometimes every dollar counts.

depends on the car.
our van takes a massive hit on mpg from 70-75

True, but a van has a lot more wind resistance than a lowered Maxima. I got 29 MPG at 75+ interstate driving, including some AC use. I thought that was pretty good. Maybe I had a tailwind, but probably not because I was driving west for those 400 miles.

the van can do 30 mpg, If I want to drive at 55.
but at 70 it did 27, 75 knocked it down to 25 or less.
