There will be a carshow at the BBQ, so make your ride look pretty. It will be $10 to enter, and registration begins Friday and ends at 1pm on the day of the BBQ. Judging will begin at 2pm. There will be 15 trophies given out. Here are the catagories, and I am going based on the headcount, so I don't want to hear any whinning.

I'm pretty sure if you were able to drive your car to Maxus, for a long distance I'm sure that it is a DD, but that is not a bad idea for a catagory for next year. But I was limited on how many trophies to get since I didn't really get a for sure headcount till recently.
I won't say until the show, cuz I know people will start to shmooze them to get more points on their score card.
The best beater would have to have some 'character'. Rust spots, fluid leaks, missing paint spots, scrapes, bullet holes functionality, amongst other things. i would def be in the running
Is there going to be a central car washing place before the show? Surely cars will be dirty considering the drive, and the track day. I thought last year they had a detail shop pretty much to themselves. I don't plan on showing my car... I was just curoius.
Don't get people's hopes up BlueMax..... I'm sure we'll find a car wash. Worse case scenario I know a few of us will be ready to mist light dirt cars with some quick detailer. the others might need some ONR.
There is a coin car wash about 3 miles east of the hotel, near the corner of Golf and Higgins road, or there is also another one right by Giodano's pizza about 3 miles south of the hotel.
For some reason I can't get the address for the DIY car wash, it says 705 W Higgns Rd, but there is no access from Higgins.
Basically heading from the hotel on Golf Rd, go west till you PASS Higgins. Bear right RIGHT after crossing Higgins. The car wash is on the right side, its called Busy Bee's Car wash. They got coin change machines there. Bring a chammy + $$$ with you and your set. For 10 bux you can clean the sh!t out of your car.
Yea... I spent about 8 hours on the exterior of may car yesterday, it was way past due. Pretty much neglected for the past year. I'm not entering in the car show, but I want it clean anyways... I'm afraid to see the bug damage from the 3 hour drive
Thanks for the car wash info. Can someone give me info on the BBQ/show: do I have to pay $10 to even show up, or can I just come down but not enter the show? Also, is there any kind of entrance fee to Busse Woods? Finally, what's the deal with BBQ food and how much? I've read a lot of threads in this forum but those questions remain unanswered.

No entrance fee for Busse Woods. You don't have to pay to show up. We're just asking for a $5 to eat all you want. If you want some booze that's another $5 for the keg. We will have brats, burger, chicken, and some other things. No fee for the car show, but there will be a raffle of a few things.
Hey guys don't be afraid to enter the show, the judging won't be so harsh, you guys will be the judges this time around. So bascially if the crowd likes your car, you may win a trophy.

Sounds great, Hector. I think I will come on down tomorrow.
EDIT: one final question that I didn't see addressed anywhere. Where in Busse Woods is the show going to be and which entrance to use?

I doubt they will fit the B13, but try it.... bolt pattern is a bit diff.
Ehh JDMMax... I told Rocky he can have the swaybar already..... trust me if you had a 50% off coupon, I would be all over it ! I need the Quaife and, that would be more than worth it.
Uppon talking with Hector, I think we can pull off another Maxus in Chicago- but I will do the track talking. I know I can get enough people interested in the track event, just let them ride in my car for a few laps- you will be hooked on it like Lindsay Lohan on coke.

Wow, Sean and I just rolled into St. Cloud. We both had a great time. A real class act. I would return to Chicago in a heart beat!
Big thanks to Xander, Hector, and Dave, plus the many others who made it so damn much fun. Next trip I am going to make sure my clutch is in great shape so I can run her at the strip and I also want to try road racing.
For those of you who didn't come, You really missed a great time. From the first meeting at the hotel, to the car run into Chicago, to the drag strip, go carts, and picknic at the park, all done with a nice touch. Meeting you all in person was the best. Let Sean and I know if we can be a part of future planning.

Damn, I'm pissed about what I missed out on. I'm even more pissed because of how close it is too me. I planned on going but I got stuck going to a family emergency and a graduation party. I'm definatley going to make sure that I make it next year.
