that is not far at all...i drove over 1000 miles without stopping on my way from maxus '06 to arizona...My total drive was >1500 miles one way and I didn't mind at all.
My drive to Chicago will actually be ~ 50 miles LONGER than Black Maxima's, but I'm not ruling out going to maxus '07 just because of the distance...Everyone from the NE is acting like they have to drive half way across the world, when really the drive is the same for the people in the south/central US...

I love taking road trips and my Max just simply eats miles.
For those of you that have not taken the time to really see this beautiful country of ours all I can say is that YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!
I think a good idea (if Maxus is organized a few years ahead) to stop the whining about geography could be having it somewhere closer to the West Coast one year (maybe Denver).
The next year would be closer to the East Coast (Pitt, Cinnci, Clev). Dallas for the South, and Chi town for the Midwest.
Basically, less than 1,000 miles one year out of four for everyone, and less than 2,000 miles every year for almost everyone.
Geographically speaking the closest big city to the center of the U.S. is Omaha or Kansas city.
