Talked with Trophy today..

and I'm very happy to announce they're planning an even bigger event this year for us!

Among our discussions of what we wan't/don't want at the event, a mobile dynojet was mentioned. I told him to hook it up and bring it out!
So those of you that want to dyno will be able to do such AT THE SHOW!!

The location is still going to be in the parking lot of Town East Mall as it was last year, but they are going to move it to a larger, more open spot where it will be more visible from the highway (not that I really cared about that part ), but we will have more room to spread out this year and they're planning some more radio spots and such as well.

More details will come, but Trophy is definitely getting into the Maxima/Nissan-Infiniti/Import lifestyle scene and have some big plans coming up as soon as we have time to iron everything out!

Sounds great, Matt! I'm glad Trophy wants to be involved again.

Now just make sure that hot dog gal is there again too....

This should be more pleasing to our dyno results as opposed to that pizza oven which is the dyno room at Alamo Autosports.

You think dynoing in a hot parking lot in the sun is going to do much better?

.......... At least people will be able to see what's going on at this one...........

Yes I do, because even in the hot sun, the air temps were lower than their dyno room was at night.

Trophy Nissan is the Nissan Dealership which helped to sponsor the car show, gave us free food, and helped set up some stuff at Maxus last year and apparently is going to do even more this year.

Trophy Nissan is one of the biggest Nissan dealerships in Dallas, and is basically setting themselves up to be what Courtesy THOUGHT they were. They're really trying to get into the aftermarket business and the 'import lifestyle.' Several of the parts managers there have worked in aftermarket shops as well as other Nissan/Infiniti dealerships that catered to the modified crowd, and they are trying to do the same with Trophy.

Look forward to hearing more about them in the next few months.

Amen to that. That room was over 100 degrees.

How many people would you guess came last year?

Oh, and Brad...we are having a little track meet at Byron on the 8th. You should come out.

Last year I'm guessing about 75-85 cars showed. Not bad for not having an official Maxus in 5 years. From the sounds of it, this year is going to be bigger.

LOL. That wasn't a good night for my car. After that incident, my AC compressor clutch gave way.

I'm so glad you're in charge of getting all this together, Matt.
Let me give you some pre-kudos just for sticking in there while Trophy chokes.
