Matt & I had asked that one of the guys from the DNE group go and check out the possible hotel locations ... check out what were around them, and that it looked safe. Well that was supposed to happen The weekend of the 1st.

The group block is being set up this after noon.
The group name is MAXUS.
I have set up 10 singles and 10 doubles. there are 6 extra rooms and they are all doubles. If someone needs something different, you'll have to contact me, and then i will inturn have to contact then to authorize a room change.
They told me to wait about 24 hours before calling in.... but hell I don't care call tomorrow morning.
Anyone unfamilar w/ calling in and reserving your room from a block just pm me... and it'll take care of it for ya.

lol, sorry i missed that one major point.
it will be 64.99 per night + 13% tax bringing it to 73.45 per night, totaling after 2 nights $146.90.
Also, just wanted to FYI everyone,... within a mile of the hotel there are plenty of places to eat. IHOP, Bennigan's, Chili's, Denny's, TGI Friday's, ... Baylor hospital is close too,.... IF anyone would need one.

That rate is good for Friday - Sunday night (as well as single or double), for those of you that want/need to stay an extra night.

What about Thursday night? A few of us caravaning from the upper Midwest are planning on getting into Dallas late Thursday afternoon. I'm hoping the $64 rate would be good for that. |

Tom, I'm going to call them soon and find out myself. I'm going to be up there all week for the Z Car Convention, so I might as well just move in to one hotel instead of two.. I will give them a call when I get some pregress done on the car.. (I'm getting the engine back from the machine shop tomorrow.. bout damn time!!!)

I want to make this my first maxima meet... but I'm not going unless I can get my dad to (he has a maxima also). Hey upper-midwest caravan... when are you guys leaving... We might be interested in joinin that big 'ole truckin convoy. I'm in Illinois... so it might not be too far out of the way for either of us. IF we go... we'd be looking at staying at the hotel saturday and sunday nights... and that's it. HOPEFULLY I can talk him into it!!!

Tell them you are with the MAXUS group and you need to reserve a room from their block. They'll ask for you name and billing address, then a credit card to hold the room (no charges will be put onto the card) and they will give you a confirmation.... they you're good to go. |
