Almost one year ago I sat down and closed my eyes and pointed to a weekend on a calendar. It was the weekend of June 10-12 of 2005. On the 20th of June I posted the Maxus 2005 thread with the hopes that the one years notice would be plenty of time to allow you guys to plan to take the weekend off to come out and meet each other in beautiful Texas. I was intending to work feverishly on the plans for the event, but as we know, things happen. My daughter is 17 months old. I have another daughter due at the beginning of next month, and unfortunately HNE has fallen to the wayside with the death of our Vice President Mike Hill (kwd2kse) and my resignation as president.

Without asking, Matt Blehm took over. For the last several months I know that he has been working intensely on getting everything set up to make this event a success. He calls from time to time to invite me out to eat in College Station and to tell me whats going on with the planning, but I just wanted to take the time and the server space to say thank you to Matt and all of you guys for taking the time out of your lives to make this happen.

Looking forward to meeting up with you at the track day Friday. I appreciate you getting the ball rolling a year ago, and to Matt for all his hard work and planning.

Big thank you to Matt and you too David. Both of you have been very instrumental in getting the idea going and the ball rolling.

We should get together and throw a few back this weekend sometime.

Thanks for the props guys.. I've been wanting to get Maxus going again after 2000 and it just never materialized in an official form.. David and I had been talking about it and he hit me up with the idea.. Told him I'd help any way I could.. Then he finds out he's got another baby on the way and life happens... was getting busier by the day and just couldn't do this as well, so I took the bull by the horns and started doing everything myself. looks like it's going to be a good event!

Ya Matt, you are definitely deserving of big thanks from all of us here on the Org. I am really looking forward to this weekend and otherwise wouldn't be were it not for all of your hard work. See ya this weekend.
