F/S: Modified 1993 VLSD 5-Speed (Texas)

Alright, boys and girls...Buy it for $2850

After much debate whether to keep or sell, my finances and the credit crunch have dictated that it is necessary to sell my beloved Maxima if I am to buy another car I have been wanting for a long time.

Up for sale is my 1993 Super White GXE. It is heavily modified and has virtually every bolt-on you can buy for these cars, with some of the items not even available to buy anymore. 95% of the work has been done by me, a reputable wrench-turner and professional mechanical engineer. I bought the car in August of 2003 with 87K miles on the clock. She was bone stock at the time.

I have just turned 182K miles with her and continue to use as my daily driver. Last time I counted I had something like $7,000 in modifications in this car. I will include a list of what parts, how much they were (virtually everything purchased new), and at what mileage they were installed. I have receipts for most anything pertaining to the car, as well.

Mods (purchase price, most items purchased new):

Warpspeed Y-pipe - $200
Unorthodox Racing UDP - $200
Place Racing CAI - $250
5-Speed Swap (open diff) - $1000
Koni Struts - $500+
Eibach Springs - $250
2K3 SE 17" Wheels - $700
Q45 Front Brakes - $400
NissanWorks Phenolic Spacers - $125
Various Stereo Components (w/12" sub in custom flush-fit box) - $1000
Courtesy FSTB - $100
Blehmco RSTB - $100
Blehmco Grounding Kit - $50
Katzkin Leather Interior - $1100
VLSD 5-Speed Tranny - $500 (used)
Custom STS - free
Suspension Techniques Swaybars (w/ Blehmco endlinks) - $350
Energy Suspension Poly Suspension Bushings (front and rear) -$70
Blehmco Stage II LTB - $200

*Prices are off the top of my head, so don't get pissed if you find one of these parts for sale and I am 5 or 10 bucks off of the actual cost...

On top of that, the car has a brand new timing belt, tensioner, cam and crank seals, brand new Bosch battery. Also has new plugs, cap, rotor, and wires.

Coolant recently changed.

The body is straight, never been wrecked, NO RUST ANYWHERE (always garaged in winter), shiny paint, waxed twice a year...

You also get enough Deltron PPG (the high-quality stuff) color-matched paint to paint the whole car, worth $300-400 (not that it needs it!)

The oil has been changes religiously every 3000 with Castrol GTX and a Napa Gold oil filter. The transmission is filled with AMSoil synthetic.

I installed the VLSD transmission last April. It works fine and shifts smooth, but recently the input shaft bearing has started making a bit of noise. It can still be driven for many thousands of more miles before it will need to be replaced, but it will need replacing eventually. I inspected the clutch when the transmission was out and it still had at least 80% of the material left (Exedy Stage I clutch). I put new tires on in April (Hankook Ventus HR II 225/50R17's), they have about 80% tread left.

I was thinking of asking $3600, but I will entertain any reasonable offers...

Now some pics...I will add a few more over the weekend:

Did I mention I have collected a whole box of extra parts over time that will be included with the car?

This car is a BLAST to drive in the twisties! It will out-handle most things on the road!

Sorry to see you are selling. Wish I could buy. BTW, what color is your interior? Was it originally black/charcoal? If so, are the leather seat covers removable?

I would like to get the car since it has everything that I want to do to mine (except I already have the Konis/Eibachs and WSP-YP), but I like my color scheme better (silver on black). Maybe I could exchange that extra white paint you have for silver. I have a friend who paints cars and would let me use his equipment and probably show me how to do it for next to nothing, so.....

Anyway, miles an auto GXE with only 89K. You wanna trade?

Let me know

BTW, could you send me more pics (interior dash, doors, trunk, stereo equipment, under front of car...)? Thanks. Send to mrkanda_at_gmail.com.

Not really interested in trading. I am working on buying a Corvette as my daily driver at the moment. I just realized I should be getting more than I am asking for the car back in the form of a tax refund, so I will probably end up keeping it as a backup car. But if someone showed up on my doorstep with cash in hand I might have a hard time saying "no"...

The interior is the Charcoal / light grey scheme. The seats are more of a tannish color, but I got them for a great price. They are out of Todamax's totalled 92 VE. It was a gorgeous low-mileage car. I couldn't pass up seats that looked that good.

Update: Not getting quite what I thought back for my refund. When push comes to shove I would be better off to sell the car. Still for sale...

BTW, since around the beginning of the year I have installed about $550 in suspension upgrades, bought a couple hundred more for rear brake upgrades (yet to be installed), and a brand new $100 battery. Also comes with an extra starter, MAF, and all sorts of other parts!

$2850...that's as low as I'll go! I'd just assume let it sit when I get something else if I can't sell it for that price!
