I also have a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with a break down of oil changes, filter changes, spark plug changes, PCV valve changes, gasket changes, etc. and the mileage at which that change took place. EVERYTHING I have done is documented.
Here is a link to the Excel file (you must have Excel installed on your PC):
I purchased this car on November 16th, 2006 in a town outside of Syracuse, NY from the original owners, who were an older couple. The car was primarily driven by the wife, and as she was a stay at home mom, the car had 26,004 miles the day I purchased it. The car currently just passed the 74,000 mile mark. It has been primarily driven on country roads and on highways (most of my driving is done above 45mph) so there is very little city miles on this car. The car has been absolutely babied. Since I got it, it had completed an application of Auto-Rx (which allows for a switch to synthetic oil safely), has been using AMSOIL 5W-30 Synthetic motor oil, and the coolant was flushed and replaced with Toyota's OEM coolant (which is one of the best out there as it has no unnecessary silicates among other things). Here is a breakdown of what is "wrong" with the car.
There is a small ding on the rear passenger door (another door hit it). It is the size of a dime.
There is some rust on the underside of the hood (near the latch). As far as I know, that is the only body rust on the car. I don't think it is a huge concern as it has a LONG way to go (years) before it rusts through the hood.
The back bumper needs to be repainted as the right side of it was repaired by the original owner using touch up paint. Not noticeable unless the car is clean and you are close up.
The car has a few light scratches due to it's 8 years out exposed to the elements. None are deep and I would say all can be buffed out with minimal effort.
CEL is on for a P0171 code which I thought I fixed two weeks ago (light went off) but is now back. Later on you'll see the parts I've changed recently. Many of them had to do with trying to fix this code.
As you can see, there is almost nothing wrong with this car cosmetically. There are only a few other things on the car that don't originally come with this year Maxima. They are the following:
It has a rear strut bar installed. This gives the car more stability in corners as the suspension stays more level, preventing excessive body lean/roll.
The car is originally california emissions equipped. However, the car has federal emissions stock headers, federal emissions stop y-pipe, stainless steel high-flow catalytic converter (Magnaflow), stainless steel b-pipe (Budget) installed, and a newer (2yr old) OEM 4th Gen. muffler. This means it will not rust through, resulting in an exhaust system that will last a very long time. The noise level as compared to factory exhaust is hardly changed and most people will not notice the difference.
I re-coated the underbody with rubberized undercoating, helping protect the bottom of the car from the harsh elements of a North Eastern winter and helping minimize some of the road noise that you might otherwise hear without any undercoating.
*** ALL of the work was done by ME on my own personal lift. I have NEVER been to the dealer for this car. It was babied and fixed with care and plenty of time. ***
Recent Maintenance (see Excel Spreadsheet):
New Knock Sensor
New Rear Valve Cover Gasket
New Gaskets between engine and headers
New Gaskets between headers and y-pipe
New O2 sensors (the one located near the intake manifold and one near the radiator)
New O2 Simulator (used to run the O2 sensors that were removed when going from Cali. Spec piping to Fed. Spec piping)
New Fuel Filter
Coolant drain/fill
New Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
I think that is all that there is to say about the car. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
Also, I have a bunch of spare Maxima parts I will throw in for free (maybe someone can have better luck selling them) and I also have a 2nd set of floor mats that could be used for the summer months (the mats in the car are a bit dirty due to many winters).
I can be contacted via PM and I check them many times a day so expect a timely reply. I am upgrading to a newer model car and this is why I'm selling this car. As I have no backup car in case this DOES sell, I would expect the buyer to give me a couple of days to buy a running/driving beater for the few months left until my new car purchase.
Nice car but more importantly a very well setup ad. Enough pictures, enough details, enough everything. Put all the information out for everyone to view. Good luck with sale, definitely looks like it was well taken care of.

I'm not trying to sell someone a POS (although some days I think it is because to me...any problem is a POS problem lol). It has issues (it is a 9yr old car after all) but I drive this car to and from work every day. I take care of it the best I can.
Original post updated because of new price and pics. No longer selling the wheels, projector headlights (sold seperately), or speakers with the car. Everything but the intake manifold and suspension is back to stock. P0171 code is still there, and I am still currently working on it.
sad to see you sell this been following what you have been doing with the car and how it process def worth every penny. Cleanest interior and body i've seen on a beige maxima.. Best of luck
