1992 Nissan MaximaSE for sale

i have a 1992 maxima SE for sale, car is located in asheville, nc. 5speed, brand new borg warner brute power clutch, 2 new axles, new brakes and rotors on all 4 wheels, pw/pl/cruise, a/c, cd player with 2 12 inch subs and 600 watt amp. stock wheels with good tires 195/65/15 i believe, phantasm exhaust, 224,000 miles but still runs and looks great, interior in pretty good condition except for spot on drivers seat. i believe the only thing this car needs is lower control arms. $1600 obo or trade for a good subaru (preferably a wagon) if interested please post a reply or send me a message.

well we have gotten a second opinion on the car and it seems he thinks that it is indeed NOT the lower control arms but that it was not aligned correctly...we are going to look deeper into this issue and i will post the findings as soon as we know whats what

If the control arms, or to be more specific the control arm bushings are original, then it will effect how a car is aligned. A shop can align the car correctly on the rack, but once the car is out on the road, bad control arm bushings will shift the front wheels in-n-out making the alignment useless.

This is not an expensive fix, especially if you do the labor yourself.

New control arms with new bushings---> http://www.internetautosupply.com/ca...b130506c558ba8

There are a few good control arm replacement write ups in the 3rd gen forum stickies.

good luck!

thanks for the info have decided if we fix the car we are just gonna keep it seeing as we just put over $2000 into it...lol only reason we are even trying to sell it is because we are having some financial problems and could use the extra cash...however that looks like one of the best prices i have seen on these parts and i will definitely keep that site for future reference

She hasn't gotten back to me. Maybe they have been set on keeping it, instead of 'thinking about keeping it.'
