WTB: '97+ 5-speed
I'm looking to get into a '97-'99 5-speed car. I'd prefer a black exterior and the interior MUST be black, either gray cloth or black leather. Needs to be clean, can't have a TON of mileage (<140,000). Looking to spend no more than $4000.
Also, I don't really want to go out of the state. I've spent too much time lately driving all over the state and I really just don't want to go through all the hassle. But if it's REALLY what I want I'll consider it. So preferably in PA.
Let me know what you have

Bump...I'm beginning to get less picky. If you have a 5-speed 4th gen. you want rid of in the PA/NY/NJ/MD area please post!

Exactly! I somehow get the feeling I'm going to end up with a tan interior car and having to swap later

Dude just wait it out man. I was getting so frustrated. I was seaching the for same thing as you and couldnt find anything. I will try to find some of the old links that I had and was interested in. I ended up finding a silver 99 SE with black leather and 5 speed for $2800. It has high miles but the interior is immaculate and a 1 owner car. I found it 30 minutes from my house on autotrader. He was asking $3700. I sent him a text and told him I could have $2800 to him within the hour and he took it.

Everything is great with it. I have a small axle leak but the car runs like a champ. I just bought it 2 weeks ago. He said it was on autotrader 25 minutes when I texted him lmao. I just got 340 miles to my first tank too. I did however change the brakes out yesterday.
To the original poster...
Stay away from this car. I offered the guy $3000 for it. I drove an hour to Baltimore and it was junk. There was tons of what appeared to be hail damage and there was also alot of rust right above the windshield. I was so pissed about it. It looks great in the pictures but it is not in good shape at all.

Glad to have helped. He would have told you too that it was in great shape like he did me. I drove there with my 9 month pregnant wife, my 5 year old, and my 2 year old. I wasnt happy. The car is not worth $1000 considering all of the body work that would have to be completed.

ey I might move to Philly sometime towards Nov to end of Nov. My car isn't the greatest. Two people gave me a hit and run, nothing severe. Just a little bit of body damage. Paint needs to be worked on. Trim is broken. Radio is gone. Heater is gone. AC/Condensor is blown. But it is Blk + Grey Cloth. I'm getting rid of it cheap. I'm selling it most likely to .org members for 2k cash.
SE gauge cluster was replaced but the SE gauge cluster reads apx 160,xxx but original GXE has about +10k. PM me if interested. Search my name for on the search bar on top and you should find a previous post of mine with car pics.

Selling my 1998 SE 5 Speed
Well I've decided to sell my 1998 SE 5 speed. It is white with black leather. It has about 192K miles on it. Runs strong, I have just decided that I need to fix some other toys that I have. I'm thinking about selling it for $2,500-$3,000. I'll post up some pics in the coming days and more information.

Mine is for sale...
Seems to fit the bill for your requirements...
- Sterling Mist Grey on Black/Dark Grey interior
- 5 Speed with about 120K on the clock (Trrrrrrrrrrrrust me when I say I baby it and it's clean)
- I'm selling it WITH OR WITHOUT the goodies listed in my sig.
- I'm in Huntingdon Valley, PA (19006)
Shoot me an email or PM and I'll get you details if your interested...
**If you ask around in the regional Northeast forum in the Sunday night meet at Lowe's, I'm sure you'll hear from everyone that it's in really good shape (that's what they say to my face when they see it at least haha)
Let me know.
Thanks,
Anthony
