FS: Modded 92 VE 5-speed in Oregon

Here is the deal: I am not in a hurry to sell it and I don't have the time/energy to take the mods off. I am selling it with all of the mods except the amp and subwoofer. I will leave all the wiring, so it can be easily replaced.

I know most cars don't sell for what the car + all the mods are worth. I want more than kbb, but I don't think I am being unreasonable. DO NOT tell me what kbb is, I am fully aware of the kbb value.

Price = $3800

General car info:

160k miles on chassis
black leather interior w/ dual power seats
moonroof
original floormats (a bit worn)
All accessory items work (AC, PW, PDL, CC, mnrf)
97 SE wheels with almost new Zexius 326 tires (same as Falken Ziex)
ZERO RUST -- been garaged for at least the last 10 years (I bought it from my brother, who also garaged it).

Newer items:
JDM engine installed Fall of 2004 by Jeff92SE when car had 149k (apx)
Newer 5-speed trans from a car with 90k miles (can be verified by MrGone)

Engine swap included:
all new turbo manifold studs
all new gaskets, hoses, front and rear seals
newer water pump (had been replaced on original engine with 146k)

Mods:
s13 (240sx) steering wheel with cruise buttons
Cattman Y-pipe
GReddy cat back exhaust
WSP test pipe (original cat included)
ASP underdrive pulley with new Gatorback belts
Fidanza flywheel
ACT clutch
Eibachs/Tokicos (lowered)
Blehmco rear strut tower brace
Ebay front strut tower brace
ST rear sway bar
Pop charger intake with piping for full CAI
Alpine 9807 CD/MP3 player
Diamond Audio M3 6.5s in the doors
Polk Audio 6x9s in the rear deck
2001 Maxima AE shift ****
9007 headlight conversion
Schuck's "hyper white" blue bulbs in the corners

Problems:
VTCs clack sometimes. Most VE's do. You know the deal...
fog lights are FUBAR inside from me installing yellow Lexus capsules
needs front rotors (shakes a little, not bad)
dome light doesn't work
occasionally door locks don't work (needs timer resoldered)
some rock chips and slight dings in the hood (snowboarding trips)
a few door dings/scratches (the car is 16 years old)
spoiler is pulling up (stupid foam stuff)
leather on top of rear seat is getting hard and pulling up on the corners
rear seat isn't perfect because I have taken it out like 20 times

Extra Stuff:
original transmission with bad input shaft bearings
set of 4 studded snow tires mounted on steelies
set of 4 original sawblades in OK condition (clearcoat peeling)
black (needs painted) aftermarket LED spoiler that needs work (scratched and needs LEDs fixed)

Car is located in Oregon, about an hour east of Portland.

pics to follow,

chris

Pics were taken last year, but nothing has changed and I haven't even taken the car out for a drive to get pictures.

Dude you haven't even burnt off the cosmoline off the exhaust manifolds yet

Great deal. I have the huge list of stuff I replaced when I put the JDM motor in. Also the swap is detailed in the 3-gen section somewhere. Engine has new exhaust studs, KS, front seal, water temp sensor, new gaskets where needed etc. etc etc.

I just took it on a round trip of nearly 500 miles and it behaved flawlessly.

I think if your sunroof was aftermarket, you would know it. The leaks alone are a dead give-away.

It is the factory moonroof with the factory controls. This is the second 92 SE I have owned and they both had the same roof. I have also been at least a half dozen others and they have all been the same except one (Keelan's) which had no moonroof at all.

Whats the difference between moonroof and sunroof again?

IIRC technically sunroofs only pop up, moonroofs will slide back opening all the way.

That's about as close as you are going to get to finding a "close" on this site. There are several .org members (NWMaxima.com guys) that have seen my car in person. Several have worked on it, even.

I am in Oregon. If you are on the east side of Seattle, it's a pretty easy drive.

I have gone both from I-5 and from I-90 several times. If the pass is clear, it takes like 3.5 hours to Issaquah.

It is about 4 hours to Seattle up I-5. I am about an hour east Portland.

Thanks. No worries, though. I am not dying to sell the car. I think it also has to do with my location. I am in the far corner of the country and even in my own state, I am over an hour from the closest major city.

I have put it on CL a couple of times, but no luck.

I just potentially sold my house (in escrow, pending inspection and sale) so I am going to need the car for a little bit now.

Sorry we never made it to a Blazer game. My schedule has been busier than I thought this year.

Congrats on the pending house sale. Are you staying in Da Dalles? No worries about the game, we'll go next year and watch Oden and Fernandez tear it up

Yeah, we are looking for houses here. Not a lot of luck. I don't want to go through transferring back to Portland. Besides, I don't know if I could handle much rain anymore. I have been spoiled by 300 days of sunshine a year.

I bought a new house and the Maxima is safely in the garage of said house.

I still have it for sale if anyone is looking for a nicely modded 3rd gen.

It drove to Eugene and back last week (400 mile round trip) with zero problems and I am at 360 miles with 1/4 tank left, so it is still getting decent mileage. Not as good as before because Oregon mandates 10 percent ethanol in the gas and it has been down ~3 mpg since the change.

bump for winter -- it comes with a set of four studded snow tires mounted on steelies.

It doesn't get much love sitting in my garage...

Nothing certain yet, I have kind of left things open.

I have been thinking about a 4th gen and swapping a 3.5L or maybe a 91-93 Sentra SE-R and putting in an SR20DET.

I also might just get some kind of muscle car project, but that would have to be a real needle in a haystack kind of find.

I wanted to buy a new Challenger, but we bought a more expensive house than I anticipated, so I won't have the money for that.
