"true story...the MoM is always the car with the most mods...even if the mods are stupid and ugly...a car like mine (90% performance mods) will never win because it doesnt LOOK modded...all of my appearance mods are subtle (no body kit, etc) "

"so...MOTM = "ricer" (more show that go)

(kinda)" <------Soonerfan April of 08.

Things have changed so much in 3 months. Congrats man I guess you and Wizard changed up the status quo.

Kind of agree..........

I have been on here a very long time. Hell longer then Sooner. I enjoy all the brow beating of the newbies by Sooner. l love this site. To be honest there really is nothing that sticks out about Sooners car to be MOTM. Ya its clean.... real clean & if this was a detailing of the month contest he would be a great candidate. Hell its a black 3.5 with stock wheels & a great wash/detailing job. I aint hating... I love the classic look & its apparent he takes good care of it..... but really its nothing special or nothing that really jumps out at you. Its a oil eating... black 5.5 Gen Maxima there all over this place. It doesent help any either that the post whore himself " Mr Read the stickies/Search Guy" that is rude to the Newbies was selected. This selection of MOTM was doomed for debate the second Sooner was selected. My 2 cents. Welcome home Sooner

at the same time i don't want MOTM to be "how much i can dump in my car" contest. once in a while a clean and mildly modded car can be MOTM. it doesn't have to be an insanely modded car to win it.

if this becomes more of a heated discussion MOTM can also be removed.

it looks so clean because he's been in Korea and hasn't driven it in 9 months

btw DanNY: his front lip is known as the "irish front lip" in case you didn't know

Anyhow congrats J. Good to see that people like my car, since you copied everything from mine (well, except that oil-leaking thing)

It's not about how many visual mods you have....how well you maintain the car also counts. For example I would never win since my paint looks like crap and my engine bay is dirty

Unlike the major league baseball all-star game, this isn't a popularity contest and isn't about the members' personalities. It's about the cars, and only the cars. And nothing against you Kev, but Jason has alot more mods than you do

HAHA.................Well I been in to the import show/race scene since the late 90's and Today a car like Sooners is way more apeeling to most people then some crazy kitted car. I think that its a very clean ride and I dont mind it being maxima's of the month. Also I agree that some of you have might have similar clean cars but then you should get nominated and you too will have a chance at this.

We will agree to disagree on this statement. I say popularity had everything to do with the selection of Sooners car. Out of the thousands of cars on this site includeing all Gens....... this was the best example of Maxima of the month? Now if he was the only car nominated this month or the other cars that were nominated were also very stock looking & not well maintained.... its another story. As far as mods done to our cars. There is no way he has out modded me . I have not updated my profile or domain site in awhile but it would be real close.............................. I dont have a issue with with Sooner winning hell he should win for serving our country for the last 10 months. I like his car ...very classy. But when I think Maxima of the month something should stand out about the car & it doesent. What stands out is the owner or should I say the user name "Soonerfan" 99% of the people on this site know Soonerfan for his Maxima eating a quart of oil every 1000 miles & for his many, many, many comments made in posts towards newbies in the forums..... He is not known for his car.

congrats on the MOTM. I really don't understand why fellow orgers are hating
on the win. It's a freakin' forum people, no cash prizes, or special trophy. I
guess the 'bragging rights' is the cool perk.

If you wanna have a chance to win, just submit your ish and see if you get
picked. Soonerfan took the time to submit and take pics... I suggest you do the
same.

maybe if people want more say... we should try to get some kinda of voting
system for the MOTM. Like a battle match, 5th gen vs 5th gen and let the
members decide. but then I anticipate people winning based on popularity.

either way, MOTM is cool. but not a 'make or break' on why I participate on the
org.

depends on what "jumps out" to you. I personally don't like kitted maximas at all, or ones with all kinds of crap on the outside (roof spoilers, VIS Invader hoods, etc). What jumps out to me is a good-looking maxima.

My example: When my car is clean, with the drop, BBK, and G rims on it I get alot of comments from people at stoplights or parking lots. And I get alot of middle-aged men asking me if that's "the new maxima".

I'm sure he'll take some pics just for you of the car with the bronze 5zigen fno1r-c's that he now owns (the ones on my car in my sig) Would that be better?

I don't see how you can say that, considering the MOTM is chosen by a few selected site admins (moderators have NO say in it...I didn't even know he had been nominated until I saw this thread), and to my knowledge none of them knows Jason personally. And if they all loved him so much, he'd be a moderator by now considering several guys who came here about the same time as him are moderators....
