Maxima of the Month :: March 2007

Congratulations airmattdog aka Matt Faraca
March 2007 MAXIMA of the Month!

Matt Faraca, is a modest mild mannered man of 28 years. Standing at well over six feet in height and with an excitable personality Matt has an amazing ability to go from chill to the life of the party. With his stature he tends not to be missed and when properly motivated he can be one of the funniest people you’ll ever share a room with.

It’s no surprise that Matt would choose to make such a striking statement with his first car in the tuner scene. To many the Nissan Maxima is just a sedan, but to Matt it was so much more. Maybe not at first, the first couple years that Matt owned his Maxima it was just basic transportation. When first purchased in November of 1999, it was a comfortable, good looking car that got him around in more style than his previously owned, busted up, 79’ Buick Regal.

Matt cites a few different influences for his inspiration to customize his car. First was the short period of time he spent at the Seattle street races, followed by his discovery of maxima.org in 2000, and a variety of people he met in the import scene from importmix.com, nwnissans.com, and the multitude of other import community events that Matt has attended since 2001. He even gives credit to some of the more sophisticated racing video games he plays. Matt’s love for his Nissan has taken him from owner to worker; he now spends his days working the parts counter of Burien Nissan.

Matt's car has evolved from a simple white four door sedan to a flashy clean icon of what is truly possible with this platform for customization. With over $15,000 invested over the past 6 years in the extensive modifications this car is with out a doubt the most recognized Maxima in the northwest if not the west coast. As far as modifications, the mod sheet and pictures speak for themselves. With the amount invested and hot style this car is a steal at the $7000 asking price that Matt currently has the car listed for, the car is only being offered through the online tuner community because Matt really wants this car to go to someone who will appreciate and continue to maintain its awesome status.
