its just ghetto...i hear my relatives speak it...then i hear my high school friends speak mandarin...and i'm just like...wow cantonese is freakin ghetto...and don't just blame me....all my mandarin speaking friends agree that cantonese sounds ghetto

yeah, not many canto people at my school. most chinese i run into speaks mandarin. (nothing against mandarin though).
Lets just think of beautiful women from a statistical standpoint. If 1 out of every 100,000 was hot then the Mainland will have a $hitload of hot chicks.
However, because of the poor and rural factor many are hidden treasures and not mainstream...... YET
