Just wondering whether anyone knew where I could find some reverse indiglow gauges to fit my 1995 A32 Nissan Maxima.
The only catch is I would like to have the speedo to only have KM/H readings or at least have the emphasis placed on KM/H (i.e. KM/H markings bigger than MPH).
To be honest, I havent really seem gauges like in america here. I want sum too, but I think that was only in the american market. I can ask around though for u.

yeah, i've wanted some since i've had my max! i wonder if it would be possible to make a set? ie, scan the standerd ones into a computer, and use it as an overlay to make one from scratch, then print it onto acetate?
i'm not sure what the standard ones are made of, and i haven't taken them out so i might be way off with my theory, but any thoughts on this?

Well, depending on the number of people that are interested, maybe we can get the manufacturer to develop a special set of KM/H gauges.
I did a search on Google for reverse indiglow and KM/H and I found some guys on a Hyundai forum requesting a supplier to make a batch of reverse indiglow with KM/H reading only. But I think the supplier wanted a minimum batch run of 50 or so...
yeah, good idea! only problem is we'd be pretty hard pressed to find anywhere near 50, plus mine and eddies would be different to yours, so there'd have to be different ones made..
i might pull my dash out this weekend and investigate the "home made" option further! will keep you posted
Well, they have 260 on the dial, but they may be limited at 180 so they can't go any faster. If you removed the limiter you could go faster Most A32's were made in NZ, only 98-99 were imported after the closing of the NZ assembly plant
Dont all Jap import Nissan speedos, including A32's only register to 180km/h??
The A32 maximas in Australia are all locally delivered, so we get the 260km/h speedo dials. Our aussie maximas are not electronically limited to 180km/h either, as I've found out
I have another problem, I want these gauges to! But my speedo goes up to 260 kp/h, those indiglo's are for the 220 kp/h clusters I believe
Thanks for pointing that out v6maximus!
I was just about to give up and order a set of MPH reverse indiglow from Ebay!
phew! hrmm... looks like I will need to go to my second option, reverse indiglow all the gauges except the speedo. Will have to just live with using blue LEDS for the speedo.
hmm, there must be a workable solution... still haven't found the time to take mine out and examine them yet (stupid uni exams) but i really do want a set of these too! btw, my J30 has the 180k speedo.

Hmm, the NZ Made A32's may not have a speed limit, I'm not sure though I've never been faster then 140 heh (those damn ads get me ). I know it goes up to 260 on the dial though
Couldn't we propose some kind of group deal with the people that make the indiglo's to make a set of indiglo gauges that go up to 260 kp/h? Perhaps with MPh as an inner ring. And get some gauges for the 95-96 as well as the 97-99?
Hmm, Canada uses Km/h too don't they or do they also use MPH? If they do use km/h maybe see if some of them would like to join you guys in a group deal? The more there are, the cheaper it'll be
It's only one gauge they would have to remake, and thats the speedo, they would have to make 2 different once, one for the digital odometer guys, and one for the analoge odometer guys like me
Tacho, fuel en coolant temp. is the same as the US-spec. So I think it should not be all that expensive. Only how do I set this up? How do I contact these guys?
could be worth a look matt, i'm 100% keen for some 180km/h 3rd gen ones, maybe start a thread in the relevant gen forums to see if theres any interest from the canadians etc.. What do you think?
Depends on how much it will cost, but if it pretty reasonable, then I'm all for going in the deal. But, I would rather have 240 Km/h than 180 Km/h gauges. Sorry scott
well, i'd be keen for 240k gauges too, if i knew or could find out the adjustment that needs to be made to the speedo to make the needle move at the correct pace!
