Australian Steve Millen Max?

Hi guys,

I have come across the opportunity to buy an interesting maxima.
It's a 1996 Nissan Maxima, 5 speed manual, bodykit and spoiler with Steve Millen signature, 18" Momos, it is lowered and has quite tight suspension, a K&N air pod but looks to be standard everywhere else. Now the guy that is selling it said to me that he was told when he bought it off the 1st owner, that is was a rare limited edition. Now i was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out here. I really like this max and am looking to buy it, but before i do, i want to know a lot more about it and what i might be getting myself into.

IThe stillien max was run on the 95 and 96 models. I know that because it said that Steve Miller sold it through dealerships this limited model edtion. I don't remember the upgrades but it was sold through the 95 and 96 model years in the U.S.
If it is in fact a signture Steve Miller you have quite find. I never saw one, and there are next to impossible to find in the states.
Good luck Hoped I helped.

Its Steve Millen BTW..

The SMX Maximas were porduced in limited numbers, with a few bolt-ons...a super charger is an option.

i don't think it is a SMX, cause i am pretty sure it doesn't have a supercharger or the SMX plate. Do the SMX's have a Steve Millen signature sticker on them?

Maxima10to1 mentioned that the supercharger was an option. So just because it does not have one, may not mean that it is not an SMX Maxima. If it is, you have yourself a nice find . Good luck with it.

Eugenic: What's the asking price? I heard there were 200 manual A32s (the 30J) imported to Aus, but that's heresay. I managed to pick up a 5 speed (with 15 inch alloys and stacker as only modification) from an auction a year and a half ago and love it. I've only done minor modifications to it but I'd reckon that you could use it as a basis to see whether or not this one you've seen is worth it (even assuming it wasn't really out of the Stillen Garage)

If they are real 18 incho momo's (ive only ever seen SMX's fitted with 17s) and the kit looks nice, then I would be tempted too man.. Really depends on the price .. drop me a PM or email me at: blazn_77@hotmail.com.

Good luck and if you buy it i'd love you check it out dude!

Hey bro, have a look at the other thread about this SMX car. We have them here & I have been about 4 myself & I think they are pretty kool for what u get.
If u have a chance, get it. Quite rare to find one for sale.
