This car is pretty cheap in my opinion; however the sales person told me that it has a intermittent engine knock? Told me that the car was a trade in, and he's not interested in investigating the issue further and selling as/is. Haven't test driven her yet, but told me that transmission is strong and the "knock" is the only issue. Wondering if I should steer clear of her. Not particularly mechanically inclined so wondering if knock is sign of engine failure? Can it be remedied? Any suggestions is welcomed.

Had an 01 I30 that had a Rear Main Seal Leak(2018) that I continued as my daily till the transmission gave out; In late 2020, it started popping "swirl control valve solenoid" code(p0320) and I started experiencing rough shifting when first starting the vehicle. Would have to apply gas to get the vehicle moving and when it above certain speeds it would be fine. Anyway, looking for another I30/35 model to replace the last one
