i35/i30 Headlamp assembly

hi, i just got into an accident with my 02 i35 and now i need a passenger side headlamp(HID). however it seems to be a bit pricey ($800+) does anyone know of a cheaper assembly i can use. i've herd people saying that the i30 headlamps would fit but i'm not sure if it would look like the original. meaning if it will leave a space where the bumper reaches the lens. my friend's 03 maxima had that issue after he crashed it and tried to put the 00-01 max headlamps on. i really need some help here i do not want to be paying $800+ for a headlamp...

I would look around maybe at a junkyard or car-part.com to find a headlight. All the ones I see on eBay are around the price you see and if you don't get an I35 headlight, it either won't match with the color of the housing (the I30 has chrome clusters and also didn't come with HID bulbs, and the I30t housing while being HID like the I35, I believe is darker in color). You could get a set of the cheap aftermarket projector headlights but everyone says that the output is awful unless you retrofit higher quality projectors. You could also check rockauto.com to check the price of a reproduction headlight, but I'm clueless of how their prices would compare to eBay.

I brought average used pair of headlights on ebay before for $250. Just keep checking ebay and you'll get some for cheaper price (hopefully you don't need to change the headlight asap)

The headlight assembly, I Hve to replace my hid bulb, when I took the bulb out it was kinda a hassle with a all the screws nd no room to really wrk, does anybody Kno where the other bolts are to take out the whole headlight itself? I Hve to take it out again to install My LED parking lights.. Jst bought a i30 so im kinda new to these infinti cars but I'm learning very quickly on how to do alot of the installations my self I took all the screws from the headlamp but it still wouldn't budge it feels like some other bolts are keeping it on there, Is it underneath the bumper?

To remove the assy, you have to take out the top two bolts. there is another bolt behind the bumper cover wall, a little above the side marker light. To get to that you have to remove the wheel well molding. There are 2 screws along the lip of the wheel well. Also there may be a screw underneath at the end of the molding, just follow along and you will find it. Two pop pins, and the molding can be pulled down.... But wait! There's more, lol

In order to drop the bumper, there are 2 10mm screws you have to take out. I suggest 2 12in socket extension bars for this. You can feel for the bolts right where the bumper meets the fender. One is right near the edge. Once you get those out, push down on the bumper, and you'll see another 10mm bolt. That is the last one you have to take out to release the assembly. Sounds long winded, but all of this translates into like 10mins
