Please help quick!
Right now my car is sitting unusable. I have drained my transmission fluid and have the pan off but I can't get the filter off because this bolt is turning with the nut.
Any ideas on what to do about this issue? I'm at a loss.
I guess I could keep the old filter on but that would suck.
The engine is still warm (drove it 2 hours ago) so maybe the bolt is expanded into the nut?

The only reason I resurrected this post is because I just wasted a bunch of time looking for the answer to this question.
There is one nut holding the automatic transmission filter on. This nut is attached to a bolt that you can only reach by taking the transmission apart. Since the filter is just a screen I would recommend leaving it in. removing all the bolts for the filter is recommended because more fluid will come out if you do. Make sure to keep up with where each bolt came from because they have different lengths.
