Reverse lights LED

I was wondering which LEDs you guys use for reverse lights?
I have stock lights and want something brighter, but don't want to spend a lot of money on it.

Pictures would help too. Thanks

I used 921 bulbs, found them pretty quick and easy on eBay.
You can find any bulb code you need using the guide here.

LED's are more intense but not brighter than filament bulbs; they generally have a narrow output angle. I can tell you from experience that if you put LED's back there you will not be able to see much of anything behind you at night (unless you find some super power LED's from somewhere, like close to 1 Watt or something).

Also, make sure you get LED's that have a "stem" or no light will get in the reflector and the bulb will be useless.
Example of "stem"

Example of a flat bulb that you don't want

The LEDs will appear whiter and brighter, but the actual output will suck *****....if you have a tint on your rear window, you might as well not even have reverse lights.

I use 20 SMD 1156 bulbs in white. They're 360 degree LEDs and they're pretty bright. I had HID reverse lights at one point which were the **** but I blew a ballast and sold the bulbs to a friend. Whenever I get a new kit the HIDs will be going back in.

The SMDs I got right now are pretty good, but yeah, LEDs usually not bright in far distance. I was also wondering, I have seen LEDs on ebay for like $100 that are SOOO BRIGHT. Do you know how they make them? Is it possible to find those cheaper?

I can't find the link now, but they were on ebay and had youtube videos. REALLY BRIGHT REVERSE LED LIGHTS

They just operate at a higher wattage and allow more current.
I would get those and thanks for the link, I may get a pair as well!

HID reverse lights or bust. I can't wait to do my projector retro in there with HIDs.

With projectors there would be no point to that since above the cutoff there's no glare.
