Best LED wedge bulbs?

I bought the inverted LED 194 wedge bulbs from autolumination for my city lights and license plate lights and I'm not really happy with them.

I realize that it's more difficult to make white LEDs but these are heavily tinted blue to the point where they look like the same color as cheap fake HID bulbs.

Is anyone using any other white LED bulbs that actually look somewhat white and not light blue?

I usually get the ones off of ebay as well, however if you want to spend more the site below MIGHT have better quality LED's. I don't know if this is true because I've never purchased from them, they are more expensive though.

Yeah, I used that site, its a little expensive but I did not have any problems with them.
Shipping is super fast, usually about 2 days. Only one of their flasher LED module gave me little malfunctions in flashing, but now it works well.

I just went through the daunting task of tearing my dash apart and center console to replace the climate control LEDs and shifter LEDs. I used bulbs i got off of ebay and am extremely happy with them. I had already replaced all of the other interior lights with ones from ebay....happy with those as well. Is recommend getting them there....cheap and light output is pretty good.

What do you want pics of? The clock and climate control? Those use the T4 bulbs....the shifter uses a T10 wedge....i spent the few extra bucks to get the "5SMD Chip" bulbs for the shifter...have 5 LEDs with some microchips. Looks good to me.

I will have to get pics tomorrow night so you can see everything well. The license plate lights and the city lights are also the 5SMD bulbs i mentioned. The clock and climate control lights are the T4 twist bulbs...i could have gotten some with more LEDs but i wasnt sure how much space i had to work with on the insides of the modules. So just 1 LED per bulb for those...you could get away with 2 or 3 possibly, not 100% sure

I can try to take pictures of mine tonight if the rain stops. I already removed the license plate lights but the city lights still have the leds in them that I'm not really a fan of.

Well I am finally getting around to post the pics of my bulbs...not to be confused with the other guys.

On the pics of the city lights....if you look at the fence you can see how much light the LEDs produce. My license plate lights are the same type of bulb as the city lights. You can see the light on the gravel in the pics.

The courtesy lights on the door are the same type of light as well...one pic is without flash, one with flash.

The clock and climate control use T4 LED bulbs, they are the same bulbs.

And the shifter bulb is the same as the city lights and license plate lights...BUT it has one LED that doesn't work, and it's the one right under the Neutral button....so the Neutral doesn't look as bright as the rest, but here are the pics:

That was my one disappointment that light distribution wasnt even in the climate control....the brighter spots are directly in front of the LED.

Also on the shifter, as i said there are 5 LEDs on the bulb and the top one doesnt come on...the top ome is directly under the Neutral so it doesnt get lit up very well. I am waiting for another bulb to come in.

I see, thats not good. Have you seen autolumination website? They have the bulbs that look really close to the stock ones, maybe that will fix the directional problem on climate control. It sucks that you gonna have to take everything out again.

SO, the guy that says his shifter bulb is the same as the rest of his bulbs, what year/make/model is your car? I have an 02 I35 and my shifter bulb is NOT a 168/194 bulb. I have no idea what size bulb it is to be honest, and aside from my map lights, (which are Ba9 I believe), that's the only bulb I haven't changed to LED. Anyone have any idea what size bulb it is?

If it's a single bulb, does it look smaller than the 194? If so, it's probably a 74, which you can get LED versions of at superbrightleds.com,
http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...edge-base/228/

if it's multiple LEDs, then it's a bit more interesting

Search for and find the thread called "how to LED your 5th gen" and "drop in instrument cluster lighting for 5.5", you'll likely find LED replacement instructions for the shifter in one of those two threads.

it's got a base that's a miniature 194 basically. I ordered a 194 wedge bulb for the shifter and it was way too big. I think the glove box light bulb is the same size as well. I ordered all of mine from autolumination and have been satisfied, I just need to find the number lol

ok, I'll take a look at that site you posted. I will also try to pull the bulb and get a pic so I can be certain. I hate ordering something, waiting and being excited to install, only for it to be the wrong item lol.

I put LEDs in every spot that took a 194/168 bulb. I got the bulbs from autolumination, and put them in the parking lights, the doors, the reverse lights, my trunk light, my license plate lights, and also did my clock, and climate control bulbs. The pics are of the autolumination bulbs, but currently I have some DDMTuning bulbs in because I forgot to order a dome light, and ordered it with my HIDs. DDMTuning superwhite LEDs ended up being more blue than I wanted, but I am making due with it until I get another order in from autolumination. Long story short, DDMTuning for HIDs, autolumation for LEDs haha.
