guage cluster problem

Lately half my RPM dial has stopped lighting up, once in a full moon it lights up. Anyone know what could be wrong? and how hard it is to replace the bulb?
thanks in advance

I tried searching but maybe i searched under the wrong thing

Taking apart the dash to get to the cluster isn't hard. There's probably 10 screws in total. I've taken mine apart twice now, 1st to chrome gauge rings, 2nd for white faced gauges, neither time seemed especially difficult. There are write ups for completing it. If you're swapping bulbs, I'd probably get LEDs and change them all, just for ease.

Yeah, taking the dash apart is easy and I actually replaced my lights with LED bulbs when I had my 96 I30. I have pictures online on my cardomain page if you want to see what it looks like before you swap out the bulbs.

Shoot me an email if you have any questions and good luck. I love how the LEDs looked behind the gauges. I swapped every bulb in my car out with blue LEDs, except the dome light.

Does anyone have the link to the write up for changing the bulbs? I've tried searching but can't find it
