Do 1999 I30 come with VQ35DE?

I was just wondering, because I can't find this info using search.... Yet I found a car which has a VIN that indicated the car is a 3.5 liter?

No. The 3.5L was not introduced on the Maxima or I35 until 2002.

I decoded the vin on this car and it must be a bs vin because unless I'm reading it wrong, it says it's limited and VQ35DE

pretty bogus the VQ35 wasn't released or invented until late 2001, just in time for the 2002 model year.

I30=3.0L
I35=3.5L

Unless its a swapped 3.5L but still you can't change a VIN

You know what it is? I think the decoding site link is wrong because it has TWO VQ35DE right next to each other under the engine code letter.... One of those should be a VQ30DE, most likely the first one since it has the red (I30) indication. So the vin is good but the infinitihelp.com site has a typo/error.

maybe the dealer just mixed up the VINs. Did you carfax them and see what the actual car listed under the VIN is?
