97 I30t interior HELP?

I had a 96 maxima se 5speed and my wife has a 98 maxima gle auto.

When I looked at a 97 Infiniti I30t 5speed the interior looked the same as my 96?

steering wheel, cup holders, etc.? I would have thought that the 95-96
maxima's interior and 97-99 maxima's interior would be same on the I30t's?

What do you guys think of the 97 I30t 5speed? Should I look for a 98 I30t 5speed instead?

I liked the steering wheel and PS rack on the 97-99 maxima's. They seem
to be different (stiffer/tighter) than the 95-96 maximas
(I have searched and read posts about 4th gen maxima p/s racks - kevlo911's write up, etc)

Are there any differences on the 97 vs 98 Infiniti I30t's??

I have had 3 4th gen maximas. 1 96 and 2 98's

I notice the hood and front end and rear end seem to be different on the I30t's vs maxima

What are the good year I30t's I should be looking for?

Any pro's/con's on any certain year I30's???
Any pro's/con's as far as modding exterior (lights, etc.)

Thanks

The only difference with the interior is the dash. The center consoles are the same. I actually prefer the 96-97 over the 98-99 console as I can fit a 20oz soda bottle in the cupholder...and I dont have to worry about that stupid cupholder door breaking.

Body-wise the only difference between the 96-97 and 98-99's are the headlights and taillights. I like the all clear tails of the 98-99's.

Performance is the same. Not sure about the steering rack on that one. Theres a thread a few down about putting a 99SE rack in a 97 I30. All personal preference there I guess.

I just took all the leather interior out of a 96 i30 and putting it into my 97 gle auto. I also took the speedometer and screws are same for steering wheel. Can't wait to put mines in. Fenders, lights, hood and trunk non-transferable. Goodluck!!!
