Found my old car!!! Small world.

So I have't been logged in here since 04-30-07..wow two years. It's because I traded my 2001 I30t Pearl White for my new car which isn't an Infiniti. Even my parents got rid of their 2003 I35 pearl white.

Sigh, I do miss that car and sometimes wish I kept it so I didn't have a car payment. It served me well and still is one of the smoothest cars I've driven.

Anyways, I traded it in on 4/29/07 and haven't seen it since! I got in my car yesterday to go home from work, and as I backed up I saw an I30t parked in my company's parking lot! I stared it down as I drove by slowly, and I noticed it was a T version, which is really rare for that model and year in Oklahoma. The smoked headlights immediately gave it away, and then the rims. Then I saw the markings on it, the cracked paint from the unsuccessful dent removal to the right of the passenger headlight (the hood). The dealer removed it when I traded it in, but didn't repaint it.

I circled around to the back, there was the paint flaked off when I hit it too hard with the pressure washer! And even the AAA sticker residue was still on the car!

Awwwww..my first import how I miss you. At least it's new owner works here. I can't wait to find out who it is. The odds of me ever seeing that car again were slim to none. What a small world!

Nahhh.. My next car will be a G or M.

I'm over the I series. RWD/AWD is the way for me after driving my 06 STS RWD Sport.

The many loaners fron Infiniti got me hooked to the G, but I'm getting older so the M45x might be what's next!

Yea, the M and G are nice cars, I have a 07 M35 RWD, love how stable it is compared to the I, and the G is just plain powerful.

I have an 06 Cadillac STS RWD with sport (lower geared).

It's ridiculously fast, but the low gears EAT gas.

I prefer the technology of the Infiniti though. My I30t was my first import, and this Cadillac will be my last domestic (there are notable exceptions...though).

Let's not forget Infiniti service, second to none. It was so good it makes me cringe at Cadillacs service, which isn't actually that bad.

I am probably going to test drive the new CTS-V this week. We'll see how that goes.

The new CTS base is a very nice car, head and shoulders over the old one in terms of build and quality. It blows the G35 out of the water on the interior. That's kind of ironic, 3 years ago it was exactly the opposite.

Europe likes wagons, since the 5 series, 3 series, e-class all have wagons, caddy needs one too

So it seems that I fell in to the domestic trap again. Went to pick up my STS from the shop and was fed up with the constant service calls. Drove from the service shop 100ft to the dealer and asked to look at a new car.

Few hours later I walked out with a 09 CTS black 3.6DI 0% financing for 72 months. Well, I didn't go back to Infiniti like I wanted. If they had 0% 72mo I would have walked out with a black G37.... lol

Funny thing though, 2 weeks later (two days ago) I walked back in the same dealer and bought a 06 G35 4dr. I've always wanted one and figured hey... if I can't have one, my gf can have one since we live in the same house!

Woo best of both worlds.
