Yet another Transmission Problem

A couple months ago my car was leaking Tranny fluid. Had it checked, guy said there was no problem added some Tranny fluid and it hasn't leaked since.

Today I started the car, let it warm up then drove it to a friends house, tried to put into reverse and it wouldn't go. Tried again, same result. Went to drive it home and the engine wouldn't go above 2500rpm with the metal at the floor. I don't know what the problem could be, I hope it isn't a blown Tranny because I don't have the money, so could be the problem exactly?

Thanks,
Chuck

CEL on? 2500 rev limit sounds like a MAF. Not being able to get into gear sounds like a shift lock problem... Get the codes checked before you start messin with random stuff.

When you say that it would not go above 2500, does that happen in every gear?

When you turn on the car does the OD light flash. Also +1 on getting your codes checked

Might be the MAF sensor. Mine rev limiter didn't wanna go pass 4,000-4,500 rpm. Bought a brand new one and car feels ALOT better.
