So i finally got my Avic D3 to work. I didn't connect the remote wire and finding the vss wire was a pain. I installed the ipod integration and bluetooth telephone add ons as well. I did the Avic D3 hack, so the navigation can be changed while driving and movies can be watched. Obviously i don't wanna watch movies while driving, but it makes road trips much more enjoyable for the passengers.
I hate when the microphones dangle of the rear view mirror or the sun visors,
so I drilled tiny holes and mounted it inside the dash. You won't even notice it unless you are looking for it and it works like a charm.
I got sick of the yellow dome light and installed some Ebay blue LEDs in it and the map light ( i know i know i need to reseal that headlight)
I had some extra UV leds laying around and put them in the climate control
finally fixed my clock! I thought for the longest time it didn't have any lights in them and thought it to be the stupidest design flaw ever lol
You have an I30 right? On a scale of 1-10 how difficult would you say your HU install was? Just wondering because I have an I35 and I'm kicking around throwing in some aftermarket nav....I've got plenty of experience with HU installs and fabrication also...

Looks beautiful though
So long as you have a dash kit, it's just like installing any other aftermarket HU. The real difficulty is in getting a hold of the trim piece.

For the I35 thats kinda like saying, "World Peace is pretty easily achieved so long as you can get all of the countries in the world to cooperate..."
Hahahaha...jk....anyhow...I've looked around and it seems that the big aftermarket guys arent yet making a kit for the I35's dash...but there is a member on here that can do one it seems right?

Sorry for the threadjack...
Fairly good analogy, actually.
You need the dash kit/trim piece from a Taiwanese Nissan Cefiro.
Contact SYCEFIRO and pray you get a reply.

alright now
1)
I know the headlight is fogging up, hence the caption about me having to reseal it.
2)
The LEDs in the climate control are the same as in the clock, i don't know the type off the top of my head, but you can look it up in the thread (IIRC it's called LEDs in clock)
3)
I don't think the install was all that easy tho. Locating the vehicle speed sensor wire was a royal pain in the ***, as it is not the same as in the maxima. Also i had to run a wire to tap into the reverse lights in the back, not that big of a deal tho, i ran it along the stock wiring. I posted pics with the location of the VSS in a another thread tho. (if anyone else wants to do this)
Now to retro-ing:
What do you guys think about the Bosch Single Xenon projectors? from what i've seen it is the least work involved.

TSX are far superior, and wouldn't be that much more work. With the bosch singles you'll still have to re-drill your mounting holes on the inner brackets (something you'd have to do with the TSX projectors anyway). The only reason it might be easier is that you probably won't have to grind/cut away any or much of the inner bracket to get them to fit (width-wise). But that's really not that much work once you're already inside the headlight.
Bosch singles would be a definite improvement over what you have, but if you're going to go there anyway, I say you might as well do it right the first time, and put as good a projector in as you can. S2K would be amazing, but they are incredibly expensive, so TSX is usually the best compromise. Besides, you already know TSX fit, so there's no guesswork. I've done it, n3985 has done it, and I'm sure others by now. Plus I think n3985 has a thread with a step-by-step picture log posted somewhere.
