I wrecked my I30!
Actually, I'm not happy at all, given the fact that I've spent close to $7,000 in repairs, and replaced almost everything mechanical on it.
The damage to the front is very extensive - I rearended a van going about 15miles per hour. The hood is completely bent, the left headlight assembly is pushed in and broken, the bumper pushed back, the left quarter panel is bowed out, and there is some internal damage as well.
My concern, is that given that the car has 172,000 miles, the insurance company will total it. If this does in fact happen, would it be wiser for me to have the car stripped and sell the parts that way?

sorry to hear that i can feel your pain....yeah they might total it so if you have a bunch of aftermarket items pull them off and let them cut you a check.
