n3985 now has CCFL angel eyes!

Ever since I did my retrofit using eBay headlights which came with crappy LED angel eyes, I've wanted CCFL. Now that I am out of school, I finally did it! Also, painted the inner trim to gunmetal to match my new wheels

Here is a teaser pic

Notice the brightness difference, even in daytime, and the inside ring not installed yet.

If you have the eBay headlights, tell the guy you need the same rings as me. (silver Infiniti I35)

Ya, it's been a rough ride too. Originally though the eBay rings were 3", so I custom ordered 76mm CCFL rings ($120). Those came and I realized I measured the inner diameter, so I needed 10.5cm rings, another $30 to swap. Those came and using them on the projectors, then realized 10.5cm won't fit the highbeam side, so now another $30 to swap those for 9.5cm. Once those I get in, I can finally finish. Add the $10 shipping each time, I spent way too much on some stupid rings -_-

LOL, that's dedication man. But I've been there before...there comes a point where you're going to make it work no matter what the cost, especially after you have so much invested.

That looks great, man! I can't believe how much money you've put into your car. I'm guessing you just graduated? How's the job search doing?

I have put nothing into my car, except regular scheduled maintenance and service (which has so far totalled $7,000 for the year, I've replaced nearly everything).

hey do you know if they make these rings big enough to fit the stock headlight housings? and do you think a normal shop that install car audio can fix them up for me if i get them?

With the ebay lights, do the angel eyes themselves replace the parking lights? Or do they come with a seperate switch for the angel eyes.

The output was worse than my Maglite, but didn't matter since I swapped projectors.
