My respect for infiniti is over!

Hate to whine, but im gonna. Just got of the phone with Infiniti consumer relations about the voluntary service campaign nissan has done for the 96 maxima evap canister purge, redesigned cannister...(ntb98-073a)...same system as ours, same problems, same fix.....but since there are way fewer I30s out there, they will not honor the campaign for us. Even though we paid more for it. Its obvious that they do not care too much about repeat customers. Its really frustrating when u see the identical problem in a maxima getting taken care of for free, but i have to pay for all that crap, new bracket (32$) to hold the part that they know is f'd up....they told me to try and be nice to a nissan dealership and see if they will cut me a break, lol. a break on something they are doing for free to 150000 maximas...maybe i was naive to think they would help me out.. he told me "wow" you have 205,000 miles on ur car, thats saying something good about infiniti.. I told him for 35k bucks new,, it damn sure better have gotten that mileage and much more and then told him about all the "replacement" maintenance done and he just ended the conversation and said "sorry dude"...

So why not try the dealerships? All dealerships are allowed a monthly "courtesy" fix, just call up your dealership and ask? What's more confusing is that you spent $35K on a car and complaining about a $32 part? I understand the frustration, but Infiniti dealerships do have top notch service, give it a try at least.
