No, it is not. Please stop spreading misinformation. Until I see IAT's and/or a 3rd party dyno, I am going to disagree with you.

I heard that berk makes one and most of the maxima guys perfer it. I know once I own my car a little longer that is what I am going to put on.

The people in the maxima forums say it has a nice low tone to it, and that is what I perfer but it is a matter of preference.

Good luck

In act it doesn't sound that silly while going uphill in 2k-up range.

Same goes for you since you cannot prove it either.

Until I see proof, as I stated in my earlier post, I will stand by my statement.

I've also dynod all of my set-ups and can vouch for each of them. I do not have an Injen, but would be my retirement that any one of my set-ups will make more whp.

My money is on Nmex. He knows his stuff.

LOL. I don't see myself payin $180 for a filter. Not me. I havnt decided on which one I am going to go with. Don't really care for the power increase, I drive slow anyways, but I like the sound.

Not sure where you are shopping but a Stillen/JWT POP can be found for much cheaper at Courtesy Nissan or the classifieds on here.

That too.

If you want just the JWT/Stillen filter, you could call Ben ( ) @ JWT and get one for 65 shipped. But that filter wont fit on just anything. It's a very large inlet. And it is like that for a reason. It slips onto a semi venturi stack that fits onto your stock MAF. Can't for get the bracket and hose clamp

Right now I'm trying to see how much power I can squeeze out of this thing using the stock airbox, and stock muffler.

so the Stillens intake dont fit right on an A33 I30?

is it better to get a Cattman or Stillen

Exactly. Most of the cost of the kit is in the velocity stack that you get... a lot better than just buying an ebay MAF flange and putting a filter with a 3'' inlet on it which I've seen done countless times on this site...

The Stillen comes with a better bracket than the JWT intake that Cattman sells, but other than that they are identical and function the same.

If you like your torque in the low rpms driving around town, then keep the stock airbox. Maybe do the GAB mod for better upper power. GAB DIY steps are all over the 5th gen forum.

Well,
Someone keeps mentioning Cattman; Brian carries JWT pop filter only now! I'm running an Injen and I picked up 12whp( with stock exhaust system) and I've been rolling with this setup for about 3-4 yrs. Invest in dry filters K&N or Apexi, getting crazy with the oil can kill your MAF sensor. Injen, Fujita look and perform about the same and Berk seems to have good peak power! Running Injen with a Complete Cattman y-pipe,mid pipe and rear muffler section seemed to lose the 3000 rpm roar! But i think with my Cattman headers the intake velocity and exhaust velocity will pick back up and that obvious roar will be back to stay!

My car doesn't roar, but I like that fact.
