Rubbing noise?
I just got the transmission worked on the other week, $1200 to replace the stupid solenoid whatever in the transmission so it wouldnt jolt when it shifted. Anyways I was driving tonight and when I slowed at a stop light I could hear something rubbing, it sounded like on the front drivers side, and I could barely feel it in the steering column vibrating. I looked underneath and cant see anything rubbing, but I can surely hear it, it gets louder the slower you go, and I can hear the revolutions as if it were related to the wheels/brakes or trasmission revolutions. I have no idea, but it doesn't sound good at all. Any ideas?

I thought it might be a warped rotor, too. However, you cannot feel the vibrations in the brakes except for when you lightly apply them, and it doesn't feel like a huge vibration, but rather a very slight one, like a cell phone ringer. Also, it varies depending on which way I am turning the wheel, it mainly does it between 12-1-2 oclock.

it might be a bearing. i had the same thing happening on my car. it sounded like a rubbing noise at low speeds but did not really feel any vibration. i left it alone for a while and it turned into a squeaking and then a knocking. then, i had to drop $900 on repairs.
