My new G35

It's a base model, but that doesn't matter when it comes to the power ;-). Besides when I need leather and power seats I still have my I. I ended up getting the car for 15000.00 even. I think it was a good deal. I'll try and get my own pics up later.

Opinions appreciated......

Wow that's a good deal for a G, maybe you can get some custom leathers? 2 tones look wayyy better than factory leathers anyway.

By looking at the pictures from that link, I didn't like the exterior color (but that's subjective really) and the fact that it has no moonroof? You're pretty much stuck with that unless you're willing to do some major mods. Everything else looks great, congrats on your new purchase!

Yeah I'm definitely thinking two tone custom leather. I'm wondering what colors I should use. The moonroof not being in was a bummer and your right, nothing I can do about that. Still I was sold on the price and the test drive.

The paint is awesome. I'll do my own full detail and get it standing out that much more, but infiniti has really nice paint from the two cars I've had.

The drive: let's just say the salesman took me to an office park full of twists for the test drive. The car handles and accelerates really well. I really love the auto/manual option.

Thx for the comments guys....

Thats very intresting, but still in that case I'd just buy the one with the sunroof and the leather seats, but to each their own.
Im also not a big fan of that color.

I have a luxury sedan already so I didn't really need another. Still if money was no object, w/o question I'd get a brand new G35 with all the options. I got this car for the engine and potential with aftermarket mods. I've always wanted to get a car that had really good aftermarket support and I got one for the cheap so some of things I might have thrown on new or looked for in the used market I had to let go of. Throw some nice wheels on it, tint, with leather interior and carputer and a sunroof will be the last thing on my mind.
As for carfax this was bought off a franchise Infiniti lot so they had already run it. Car had all papers and maintenance records as well. They also went over the vehicle and made any other needed repairs(i.e. turning rotors).

This was actaully a smoother transaction than when I bought my I new.

I love it, and the price was right. The color isn't my favorite but I certainly don't mind it (it doesn't look bad). The lack of sunroof would bother me for a little bit until I threw it around some curves and drove the crap out of the
VQ35. Nice buy! Congrats!!

Just got an 03.5 for $20k with 30k miles ... pretty cherry car. Also "stripped" according to Infiniti standards. Mine came with leather ... yours is an 03 ... has the trunk handle ...

how do you know he has an lsd? a base i30 could come with lsd but that was an option. only the touring came with the lsd standard. i would be real suprised that a bare bones i30 had an lsd but none of the other 'optional' features.

If the tranny code says it has it then I guess it has it. Surprises the hell outta me. I mean thats pretty wierd that whoever bought that car new wanted a complete base I30 with cloth and no sunroof but did decide to get the lsd transmission. Not many people even know what an lsd is anyways.

As far as the booklet goes, it has never been wrong, it just never mentioned anything about a navigation in the 99. Remember that I got that booklet in the spring of 98 at the Denver auto show and so it was at best an early preview of the 99 models coming that fall.

But the most important thing is that my source is my FSM which shows base I30s coming with the non lsd 5spd standard. Only the touring came with the lsd standard.

http://www.infinitinews.com/site_lib...30/specs.shtml

If you look at other years, like 98 and 99, the base level with cloth and no sunroof and non lsd 5spd was eliminated completely. Leather, sunroof and non lsd auto tranny were now standard.
