A nice idea for some of you looking for Navigation..

I was doing an I35 search for the navigation and I came across this site. I think the install looks really clean. I might have jumped on that if I didn't have the stock navigation. Well anyway, I know some of you want navigation and I thought this might be another idea to think about.

Somebody was promoting a kit like that on here a while a go.

Pretty cool, but I like the in-dash look better. It's a lot cleaner, but probably more expensive too.

I will find more & post information on Aftermarket In-Dash Monitor for A33 (electronic pop-up or manual pop-up monitor in the OEM location) after SEMA.

I was actually refering to an aftermarket, double DIN, touch screen, in-dash nav...

But stock location is cool too. I would just want to make sure it's DVD nav and not CD though. Let us know what you find.

Oooops.. my bad.. I was refering to the aftermarket LCD screen fitting the stock location where the OEM Navi goes? And instead of the tiny 5.x" screen... I was looking to get the 6.5 or 6.8 inch LCD there.. (either manual pop up or electronic pop-up). I don't think 7" or larger would fit with the STOCK pod....

For A33 owners, I will post more information few weeks after SEMA anyway

That pod is available overseas. It's a kit that Paradox was going to bring in to USA. You can check with Harry at Paradox first. I don't know if he had brought samples in. If NOT, I will get one after SEMA...

We came close to bringing one in but it broke down after lack of interest and inconclusive information about whether the interior colors would match and whether the pod would include the LCD if I remember correctly.

OT - you're going to SEMA too? Perhaps I'll see you around...

Oh, and Sy, did you get a chance to take those etra pics that you mentioned?

Thanks!

If anyone is going to SEMA, I will be in booth LVCC 10870. We have a booth there, for 7" LCD screen's, Portable DVD players with 7" screens, etc.etc. So look for me there.. or email me and I will leave you my cellphone number. Hit me up if you go.

I was going to use a tape measurer and coin to show you the size of the lip spoiler. You can decide on this one, or I will pick up that one spoiler you liked from the Taiwanese website after SEMA. But you probably won't see it until like early December.

Thanks

IMO that looks kinda bulky. I would much rather have the double-din navi like the eclipse or kenwood units.

I have a question for 01 i30t and 02 i35 owners, does the 2002 six disk bose non navi directly fit into the 2001 head unit space?

Sizewise it's the exact same. I think Oss (Max4Speed) did the swap on his I30.

That's a pretty sweet setup Allenz. How easy it for you to go back to stock?
