There were really only three different I30s. First, there was the BASE I30, which came with cloth, no sunroof, and manual tranny (auto optional). Then, There was the LEATHER I30 which came with leather, sunroof, and auto tranny. Finally there was the TOURING I30 which came fully loaded with leather, heated seats, LSD (traction control), manual tranny (auto optional), stiffer springs and shocks, and rear wing.
However, what was standard on one model was always OPTIONAL on the others, so the I30 came pretty much however the original owner wanted it.

What about the I30 Limited, my friend has one of those, and they don't seem to be much better than just the base I30 with spoiler optional (he didn't have one), and not sure what else standard. I'm figuring the Limited was the in-between Leather and Touring?

In 2000, I think what primarily differentiated the Touring from the other models were the 17", five-spoke wheels; HID headlamps; and retuned suspension. I guess traction control and CD changer were optional because my friend's 2000 I30t doesn't have those features, but mine does. I wouldn't rely on the presence of a spoiler to be an indication either way. I've seen I30Ts without them and non-Ts with them.

Found this on the Nissan news site. Should clear up any misconceptions about the I30 Limited ...if anyone cares.
The "I30 Limited" will add numerous luxury enhancements to an already feature packed vehicle. Purchasers of the "I30 Limited" will find their vehicles outfitted with leather-appointed interior, power-sliding glass sunroof, in-cabin 6-disc CD Autochanger, HomeLink Universal Transceiver, anti-glare rearview mirror, wood-tone & leather steering wheel, wheel locks, machine finish alloy wheels, stainless steel Infiniti door sills, Q45 like chrome shift lever post, body-colored door handles, "I30 Limited" emblem and custom floor mats. Two-tone paint is now available for the first time as an option.

Weak heating seats
My seats do not heat that much either.
Where could you get a hold of the heating elements?
Would you have to take the seat apart to change the element?
I know it should not be hard at all, I just don't want to part out the seat without the proper parts.
Thanks

that everything nissan site had them, but they are HELLA expensive. I think $300 for both parts. I'm considering them for a future upgrade, but I'm scared to remove the seat covers. The replacement covers listed in the GD thread might be easier to install. I just dont want to ruin my seat covers because I havent seen any other I30's with perforated stock seats.

The seat must be removed from the car, and completely disassembled by removing the leather and gaining access to the cushions. It is actually not that hard to do (did it when I put new leather in mine), just reserve a weekend for the project, and get a hog ring puller, and a bag of hog rings from an upolstry shop... You might want to do new leather while you are in there too.... it feels so so much better that the cheap OEM stuff...

Did the guy who has the navi ever post a picture of the back of it. My car already has the gps antenna from the infiniti communicator, so if the a/c wiring is the same to the nav screen then i would definetly be up for this. The unit is the same as the one in the Q45 so i could look at the wiring for that but if anyone has a picture of the back of the unit please post it.
